  1. Michelle W says:

I was at CVS yesterday and they have Mom’s Natural Oatmeal packets in their 10 for $10 section for 25% off, so they are 10 for $7.50. You don’t need to buy 10 to get them for $0.75 each. I found a coupon for $0.75 off on the Mom’s Natural website, so that makes it free!! My kids love instant oatmeal in the morning.

P.S. I was shopping at the CVS off of Bass Lake Road.

  2. Sue says:

I can’t find the $1/1 Excedrin printable coupon. What zip code is it under?

  3. Jessica W says:

Heads up on the B1G1 Nivea lip. Found mine in the 2-7 RP, not P&G, hope that helps someone!

  4. Teresa says:

Just got home from CVS. I love that place. The employees are so helpful & know their stuff. If you use Clairol Perfect 10 hair color (very nice product), buy two @ $9.99 ea, use 2 $5.00/1 coupons (2/7 P&G). Pay $9.98 and get the P&G EB for $5.00. That’s $2.49 per box :)

  5. Melissa Engel says:

I LOVE CVS too. I was looking at my Year to Date Savings and it was $362.73! My spending was $41.15 and I bet I covered most of that with rebates. Is this for real??

Today was another great day of hardly spending :). I spent $1.45 oop for 5 boxes of crackers, 2 floss, gum, 3 boxes of excedrine, dish soap, a razor and lip gloss. I had $20 ECBs and got $18 ECBs back.

I did change my game plan on the Excedrin today. The coupon said 20ct or larger and the $2.49 ones are only 10ct, so I got 2 boxes of gels for 5.49 a piece and 1 box of tablets for 4.79. That brought my total to $15.77. I used 3- $2 off coupons and got $7 ECBs, so I basically paid $2.77 for 3 boxes worth/ or 92 cents a box.

I also picked up a Sally Hanson lip gloss that was 50% off and I had a $1 off coupon so it was around $2.25. CVS is a great place to have make up coupons handy so you can pick things up that are on clearance with your coupons.

Bonus- They took my $5 off $30 even though it had expired. I seem to have one of those at least every time I go and they keep my ECBs supply preserved.

    • Jessica W says:

I have a question about using those $5 off $30 type coupons. I have been going to CVS for maybe a month or two now and today was using a $5 off $25. I was wondering, could I get my total up to $25 BEFORE coupons and use the $5 off $25 and then hand the cashier my coupons? I have always just made sure that my total is $25 after coupons in these types of situations, but started thinking about it today. Does anyone know? Thanks!

      • Iona C. says:

        Jessica,

        That’s EXACTLY what I’ve been doing :)
First off, I hand the cashier my Extra Care card.
Then, I hand over the CVS coupon ($5 off $20, $5 off $30… whatever you have).
Lastly, I hand over all my coupons :)

Works for me and I live in Northern California.

    • Anne says:

When I was at CVS this past week I checked my CVS coupon that I had printed out a while ago for $2. I looked, and verified that it had not expired yet. The cashier said that they accept coupons for up to one month past their expiration date. : )

      • Jessica Martin says:

Is that all coupons or just CVS ones – I found another Buy 1 Get 1 Nivea Lip Care that expired the 17 of January – so within a month?

  6. Sarah says:

Jessica – I’ve never had a problem using my $5 off $30, etc on the BEFORE coupon totals. I usually hand it over first and then give the cashier the rest of my coupons.

  7. Laura Wales says:

I just bought the Trident gum (love that stuff!) and bought Listerine mouthwash instead of the Reach floss because my husband goes through mouthwash like it’s water. I used two $1/1 coupons, so I got them for $0.99 each. Not bad!

  8. Tami W says:

I had a great CVS day! I got 5 boxes of Ritz, four packs of Trident Layers, a bag of Stacy’s pita chips, three dawn dish soap and two tubes of toothpaste, and it came to $.78 after coupons. I paid this amount with the free $25 gift card I got for transferring my Rx, plus I got $3 ECB!

  9. Ginny says:

Trident Layers gum, on sale for 99 cents use the coupon for 75cents from smart source 2/7 final cost 24 cents.

  10. Jo says:

I got two $25 Q’s for prescriptions recently from CVS and used them for my annual prescription renewals from my Cr. Now I have to change meds per the doctor and am in need of two coupons- anyone know where to find some for CVS or Target?

    • Erica says:

When I went into my CVS last week I scanned my card at one of the coupon printers/price checkers in the store and it printed out a coupon for a $25 gift card with transferred prescription. I need to use mine but you could try it and see if it prints one out for you!

      • Jo says:

Thanks – they have from time to time – but I think since I just used two i will not get one for quite a while

      • Kierstien says:

not sure if you have any rx coupons for other stores but cvs will take competitors coupons for rx if its a store in your area! Hth! I know target did have a $10printable rx q not sure if it is still there but worth a look.

  11. Candi says:

Does anyone know if CVS will match Walgreens ads as far as getting EB’s instead of RR’s?

  12. colleen says:

Do any of you check your extra care account online? What do the “current balance” and “balance history” show? My current balance shows my quarterly spending – get that, but it also shows Soy Joy balance $6 and green tag balance $5. The balance history shows a couple things with a balance but the end date is past. I don’t understand what they are trying to tell me!

I thought i bought all of the soy joys available so I’m really confused!

  13. Diana says:

I love CVS! Walgreen’s may have some great deals, but I find they are not as customer friendly. I love that CVS has all sale prices and ECB deals posted on shelves (the Walgreen’s that I visit does not). CVS also seems to want me to save money, unlike Walgreen’s (once again in my experience) seems unhappy about me using coupons. Today I did the Nivea, Nabisco, and Listerine deals at CVS. I had a $4/$20 coupon and ECBs and ended paying very minimal amount OOP and got back almost as many ECB’s as I spent. Plus I got ANOTHER $4/$20 coupon. Yeah!

    • Joe says:

      Diana

Your comments are right on point. Wags seems to do whatever they can to drive you away and CVS bends over backwards to help you. The ones in EP know me when I walk in and take me to the things on sale/ECB they know that I am tehre for each week. I have laid out no OOP money for over a month at CVS and still have my ECB balance between $20 and $30 after each shopping trip. The cashiers laugh and say every time you have thsi system figured out. We both just laugh and they hand me my receipt (which is usually a m ile long with ECB rewards ) . CVS is the best !!!!

  14. Angela says:

Thanks to this blog, I used my expired $5 off $30 CVS coupon today! I knew that you could use expired Extracare bucks but I didn’t know CVS will except CVS coupons up to 30 days past the expiration!! Extra $5 in the pocket so I bought a caribou coffee treat on the way home!!

  15. Monica says:

Heartbreak! I had Extra Bucks that expired on Feb. 7th. I wasn’t able to drive the last few days, as I was run over by a trailer this past weekend. Thankfully, no broken bones or fractures but I didn’t trust my right leg enough to drive. Is there any way to use these bucks even if they are past their expiration date?

  16. Haila says:

My CVS gave me a sign-up form that, if I gave them my email address, they said they’d email me a $4/$20 coupon in a few weeks. I signed right up.

  17. Kristi says:

I went to CVS last night. They were all out of the Reach dental floss but they had Reach 4 pack of toothbrushes for the $3.99 w/$2.00 ECB limit 2. They let me use the B1G1 single toothbrush coupon (up to $3.99). Paid 3.99 got $4ECB back :)

  18. Kierstien says:

I need to get back on the CVS bandwagon! I have been out of the loop since my daughter came home from the hospital but I need to get back at it because I love CVS so very much and they ALWAYS let me do a few diff transactions and they never seem to be busy.
