Cub Foods: Jumbo Pack Diapers $3.99 (And Other SuperValu Stores)

News flash: A reader left a tip and I just confirmed it – when you buy a package of Baby Basics diapers a coupon prints out for $4 off any package. I read the fine print on this coupon and there are not restrictions (the one below requires a $7 minimum purchase). I checked the clearance area in my store, after a reader tipped me off to look, and there was one package of size 1 diapers for $5.99, which would be $1.99 after coupon. Leave comments with what you find in your store.

If online prices hold true, then a jumbo pack of Baby Basic diapers is $7.99. Use this $4/1 printable coupon and get a pack for $3.99. The coupon prints immediately when you click on it, so be sure your printer has paper.

This is a SuperValu generic brand of diapers. They are sold at Cub Foods, Acme, Albertson’s and all other SuperValu brand stores.

Your turn: How much were these diapers at your SuperValu store?

Great coupon! It says on there “minimum purchase of $7″ so it won’t work on a smaller pkg. Thanks Carrie!

  2. Cath

Any idea how many diapers are in the $7.99 pack?

    1. Amy

The jumbo box of diapers was on sale for $11.99 at cub in Burnsville I used the $4.00 and got 82 size 4 diapers for $7.99 bought two cases. By the way Beech nut baby food was on clearance for 20 cents a jar.

Any thoughts? Mine printed with the barcode lines but no numbers and at the top it just says Store coupon instead of Manufacturer coupon. Does this mean it might be a fake? I don’t know what to look for! Thanks!

    1. AJ

Good call Bethany! I just looked at my q and it looks just like how you described. I too am wondering if it’s a fake!

I used 4 of the coupons last night at the Cub in Apple Valley. I checked at the Service Counter first and she said they were okay.

    2. Stacy

The coupons didn’t work for me at the Cub in Lino Lakes. The cashier said they couldn’t accept because it said store coupon and the store could not be reimbursed. So I had her take off the diapers on my transaction and it ended up spitting out a $4/1 coupon. So I bought another pack and it spit out a $4/1 and $3/1 coupons. So in the end and in a round about way I still got the diapers for $4 a piece.

anyone use these to know if they’re any good? the diapers I mean.

    1. Bridey

I have used these diapers generally. I go between Target brand and Cub brand. I find them to be satisfying. I can not remember a time they have leaked yet. My son is 9 mo old.

  5. AJ

I’ve used them before and I think they are just as good as any other generic diaper. I wouldn’t use them for a baby that was still nursing or for an overnight diaper. HTH!

I don’t know anything about the diaper coupon, but I printed several coupons today that had bar codes with no numbers and they did work at Rainbow. One was for Frigo Swiss Cheese, not only did it not have any numbers on it, but didn’t have the price $1.00 off on it and it worked just as it should at Rainbow.

I work at cub food and I just bought these diapers (I normally buy huggies) they are on clearance right now at most cub foods stores for $3.99 for the small pack (about 40 in a pack) and $9.99 for the box (about 80 in a box) but when you buy a pack for the clearance price for $3.99 you usaully get a coupon for $4 off another pack and when you get that pack and it prints another coupon and so on… (at least this is what happend at cambridge cub to me and three assocaites) and I think the daipers work well for the price (free) I know they will be on clearance till they’re gone cause the company is changing the packaging (so it works out for the customer)! Just thought I let everyone know the inside scoop

I was thrilled when I found these on TPC once for $3.99. I bought 3 packs. My daughter is 1 1/2 and wears size 3 (I think it was 40 diapers for that size).

The day after we started using them, she broke out in a serious diaper rash which I haven’t had to deal with for over a year.

I was extremely disappointed because I was impressed with the quality of these for being a generic diaper. I would say they were pretty comparable to the feel of Up & Up or the Fisher Price diapers if anyone has tried those. Really cute too (not that anyone sees but you) but there were some monkeys. Not too perfumy like some diapers are.

Needless to say, I have about 32 diapers that I have nothing to do with and returned the other 2 packs which I am very sad about cause I was thrilled to get such a good deal for diapers.

Guess I have to stick with Pampers, Luvs, Huggies, and Up & Up for my apparently sensitive skinned child.

The coupons worked for me at alberstons this morning!

Doesn’t the coupon only apply to packages @ $7.00 +? Or would they work to buy a $3.99 clearanced package and use the $4.00 coupon? I am sorry – I am confused. I just want to clarify ahead of time, so that I do not hold up the line if and when I do buy them.

Just went to Cub in Lakeville and they were $7.99 for 31 diapers (Size 4). Still a decent deal for some back-up diapers. They took the $4.00 off with no problem and I did not get more coupons with my receipt. Overall 31 diapers for $4.00.

    1. Alison

I just did this deal and got a $4 catalina coupon back. So it’s not on your receipt but should be a catalina machine coupon.

      1. Cara

That happened to me as well. The coupon printed on the website is good for any diapers above $7 in price (and then takes $4 off). When I left, I got a coupon in the cat for $4 off the same brand, but this time, there was no restriction that the purchase price must be over $7, so if you can find them for $3.99, they’re free. :-)

Last week I was at cub and it printed out a $5 off coupon so I bought a pack of size 4 (31 in a pack) they were 7.99 plus my $5 off. I’ve never used them before but thought for $2.99 we could try them for the daytime. Plus it printed out two more $4 off coupons after I made my purchase.

I had no problem with the printable coupon, and it did produce a $4/any catalina. However, when I used the catalina, I looked at my receipt in the car and realized that it had scanned BUT not only had it not taken $4 off, it had added $0.01 to my total! I’m going to have my husband run back there tomorrow and see if they can fix it. I hope so, since I have a $3 catalina that someone left there, and another $4 one to use! :)

      Nicki,

I had a similar issue today at Cub – I did this deal on Wed night using the coupons and got my $4 off diapers catalina. Today when I went back to buy another pack of diapers with my $4 off catalina, I was in the self check lanes and scanned the diapers and then scanned my coupon and it said something like “5off2″ and added 1 cent. I tried to void the transaction to try again and called someone over and she had to override it because it did the same thing when she rescanned the diapers and coupon. So she made it work by entering a $4 off manually. I noticed that the new catalinas printing off are no longer the $4 off any pack of diapers. Instead, they are $5 off 2 packs AND $4 off 2 packs. So anyone trying to use the $4 off catalina from Wed should watch the transaction carefully!

I had a problem, where some Cub stores, stores that are not owned by SuperValu (like the Roseville store, did not spit out a Catalina. Did anyone else have that problem? What store locations worked?

    1. Alison

St. Louis Park – Knollwood works – probably not exactly in your neck of the woods though.

  21. Linda LaDuke

My husband tried to use this coupon at Cub in Mankato today and they told him that it was a store coupon and not theirs so they wouldn’t take it. I did check the Cub site and it does show up on the site so it is owned by Supervalu. I might e-mail them and complain.
