Welcome KTIS Listeners! Restaurant Freebies

This morning I mentioned a number of restaurants that give generous freebies when you sign up for their email newsletter. A couple of my favorites include:

Dairy Queen. Buy one Blizzard, get one free when you sign up.

Ruby Tuesday. Buy one entree, get one free when you sign up.

Godiva. One free piece of chocolate every month when you sign up.

Your turn: Which other establishments email out fabulous coupons?

Some of my favorites don’t require a purchase at all for your birthday, so they are TRULY FREE! They include Red Robin, Qdoba, Noodles, Baskin Robbins, Cold Stone Creamery, and Toys R Us.

Pizza Ranch – mostly rural locations I don’t know of any in the Twin Cities proper – has $5 off with your birthday coupon delivered via email. And there is a reasonable expiration date so it doesn’t have to be used on your birthday like some restaurant specials.

This wouldn’t qualify as a “fabulous deal” I’m afraid, but it has been one we’ve used many times over the past couple of years. If you sign up on Q-cumbers list, you’ll get a monthly e-mail deal for the entire month. But, even better, they constantly do special “snow day” deals when we have bad weather in the winter, and they’re often really good deals good just for that day or sometimes 2 days. In case you haven’t been there, it is in the Centennial Lakes area of Edina and is a great alternative buffet restaurant as compared to Old Country Buffet and other typically unhealthy buffets. They have the best salad bar and the best frozen yogurt bar. They always have a line of hot foods as well as a really good hot soup/muffin line. http://www.qcumbers.com/ It is all inclusive with the meal and drinks including nice hot teas and coffee. A typical snow day might include dinner for $6 or $7. Also kids always eat for 99 cents on Monday nights I think. 2 kids per adult. We used to take advantage of that a lot when our kids were younger

Longfellow Grille…Edina Grille… Highland Grill on their website you can join the e-club and they send you a coupon via e-mail. I can’t remember how much I think like $5 off or something. If you are headed there anyway.

At Axel’s restaurants on SUnday and MOndays you can get
Join us every Sunday and Monday evenings for our Dinner for two four course meals.
    Dinner includes:
    · A signature appetizer
    · A salad to share
    · Entree selection
    · House made dessert
    · Paired with a bottle of wine
    · $52.00 per couple

This is a GREAT deal. You get that much food at an Applebees it is going to cost more than $52! If you have a special occasion (like we do this month!) then check it out.

The Axel’s in Blaine also has a deal similar to this. It’s only on Wednesday nights and with this one you get two movie tickets! You don’t get the salad however and it’s $55.00 so you get:
      App to share
      entree for each of you
      bottle of wine
      dessert
2 movie tickets! (good for movies at the Wynsong theatre in Mounds View)
The hubby and I have done this a few times, it’s a pretty good value and they are happy to give you dessert to go!

Also on Sunday evenings from 4-9 they have kids build your own pizza and sundae for free with the purchase of an adult entree per kid. The kids actually get taken over to where the pizzas are made and get to do it all themselves which they love!
