What is an easy rebate? I am new to staples. I know there is one located in the Ridgedale area. If that helps.

    Thanks all,

Easy rebates at Staples are the best! Go to http://www.stapleseasyrebates.com. If you purchase at the store, select “Store purchase”. Then follow the easy steps. You can track your rebates. Also, they take toner cartridges at their stores and give you $3/cartridge. Happy shopping.

There is a Staples in Woodbury, MN.

I did my first transactions for the staples rewards program last month (free batteries!) and am eagerly awaiting my results (supposedly the ‘rewards’ are mailed in January?
I have done their easy rebate thing numerous times over the last two years (I go to the store in Apple Valley) and have had fantastic luck with it –
We got our paper shredder for a few bucks ($50 rebate) and take advantage of their 4×6 photo paper they often have for $1.00 – makes great gifts for Grandma who has a photo printer!

Thanks to those who mentioned the TC locations of the Staples stores. I’ve never visited a Staples store, but had great experiences with them professionally. I’m used to Office Max, personally, which I love (awesome service, great stuff and prices). How are Staples stores for service?

  11. Kathy says:

I went to the Woodbury store and found the display with the $1.00 items (plenty of stock on Monday). Bought 2 scissors (who can have too many scissors?), 2 mechanical pencil packs, 2 writing pads, 2 reams of paper, 2 Scotch tape dispensers, 2 Pentel pen packs.
After submitting the rebate online, I noticed that while two is the limit for purchasing the pens and the tape dispensers, you will ONLY GET REBATED FOR ONE of theTAPEand the PENS. So, I paid $3.99 for 4 gel pens, and $2.99 for the tape dispenser. Not a great deal for them, but when the whole order is combined, the average is ok. Subitting the online rebate is very easy.

It was very easy to submit the rebate information online. It even recognized that I purchased 2 reams of paper.

  12. Kathleen says:

Kathy — I was wondering about that. Why would they offer a “limit”, when usually, only one rebate is allowed? Silly. Oh well! At least it wasn’t an awful experience. :-)

I wasn’t taking any chances and went right after church. I gave up on the batteries because I waited so long. I was interested in the binders, I love putting everything in binders. I have been wanting on a big one for quite some time for my coupons and am so glad I waited. My flyer said that the limit was 4 on the binders and 1 on the scotch tape and pens. I think there’s always different limit amounts, you just need to check that out in the flyer. My store provides flyers at the front of the store, I don’t know what the shelf said on the tape and pens. I just love free office supplies!!! :)

  14. Jennifer says:

Just wanted to add that I just went to the Staples in Apple Valley. I had never been there before. They were VERY helpful and nice. Everything was in stock except composition notebooks and 1inch white binders. There were lots of sizes and colors, just not this one. I already submitted for my rebate and it couldn’t have been easier.

  15. nancy says:

Remember the Staples deal back in January. You could purchase
binders/envelopes etc and you would get a refund back for the total
purchase. They would than be free. Did you ever get that refund? At the store they told me I didn’t have to send anything in, it would just be sent to be through the awards program. There were no rebates slips that came with my purchase.

  16. darcie says:

I bought batteries back on December 13th and am STILL WAITING for my rebate to come! It was one of those that you didn’t have to send anything in – $26.00 and still nothing. They were supposed to be mailed out separately in January – I called on this 3 weeks ago and after being transferred around a dozen times and left on hold – I finally got a hold of someone who said that I should have received it by now and he would send out a courtesy rebate to me for the $26.00.
Well, three weeks later – still nothing. I will never take advantage of one of these types of ‘specials’ again!
I haven’t had any issues with the ones I have had to submit via Staples – but this – this is just ridiculous and not worth the hassle at all!

  17. nancy says:

    Darcie,
I called Staples Rewards today at 1-800-793-3320, listened to all the options. Chose to talk to representative. Told him about the binder/envelopes I didn’t get rebate back for. He told me that there had been a miscalculation, and he is sending me a check.

Staples Rebates & Staples Rewards are two separate things. This offer was a reward. That I think is why we didn’t have to file the online rebate. They already have your information from your rewards card. Oops did you not have a Rewards Account?

I think my problem was that I emailed them and it just didn’t get to the right person.

  18. darcie says:

@Nancy ~ Yes, I have a rewards card – they scanned it when I made the purchase and it shows up on my transactions when I am logged in to Staples.com – supposedly that’s all I had to do…
when I talked to the guy 3 weeks ago he said I should have already received it and was sending out a new one – but, I’ve yet to see it…I wish now i’d of gotten his name and number! I guess I was just thinking that it’d be coming in a week to 10 days!! I guess I’ll try again tomorrow the # you called – I’m just glad I only got 2 packs of batteries instead of 2 packs a week every week while they offered the special! that is what I had WANTED to do! Ha ha!
I’m glad this doesn’t happen to me very often because I love love love rebates and freebies but it they were always like this – I’d never take advantage of them!

  19. darcie says:

well, as a follow up – I called Staples today again – they say they sent the new rewards for $26.00 on Feb 19th – still nothing…so now they want me to place an order online and call them and they will apply the credit to my online order.
yep. this seals the deal – staples rewards are not my thing!
    GAH!

  20. Nancy says:

I got my $17.00 check today. Hope they have some good deals at Staples this week.
