Free fun things I've done with the grandchildren this past year include. Drawing with sidewalk chalk (outlining their bodies/writing messages for parents for when they come back home), making and decorating Christmas cookies, going for walks and examing the different leaves, reading, singing and marching around the kitchen table, and pretend grocery shopping and cooking. Children do have vivid imaginations and it is fun to encourage them to use them. OK so I printed it off – some of the things do look like great fun.
