CVS Shopping List 1/24 – 1/30/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

CVS

It feels good for me to be back in the saddle bringing you this week’s shopping lists. I only included items that were priced low enough that I would actually buy them myself.  Have fun shopping!

Save even more money when you take the Medicare quiz, then print your $5 off $30 purchase coupon or when you use you bring your own shopping bag and buy a green tag. Crystal at The Thrifty Mama put a starting list of deals together that I added to based on the forums at A Full Cup.

If you’re new to CVS, learn how-to shop CVS’s loyalty program and use Extra Care Bucks and learn to read this shopping list.

Since the rebate period is from December 11, 2009 to February 8, 2010, there’s a chance that many rebates have already been submitted. You need to decide for yourself whether you want to risk having your rebate not be awarded due to the maximum number of rebates having already been submitted by the time you send yours in.

Comments

  1. Jill says:

I have tried to do the medicare quiz for the coupon, but can’t seem to get it.
What do I click on on the page to take the quiz?

  2. Jaime says:

There is also a Rimmel coupon in the Feb All You mag. I think it is for $3 or $4 off one!

  3. Sarah says:

There is a $1 off Stacy’s chips in the Prevention magazine (found at drug stores like CVS). It has a picture of Courtney Cox on the front…I’ve heard these can float around the store, but found mine next to the early edition paper (it costs $.99 so see if there are other coupons in there that you might also use.)

  4. Dawn says:

Sundown and Ester-C Products—on sale buy one, get one free (2 for $9.99)
Will they let you use 2 of the 5.00 coupons to make these free? I know some Walgreens haven’t for me in the past so I want to make sure prior to going to CVS.

    • Angela says:

Make sure to hand the cashier your manufacturer coupons first and the extracare card LAST and it should work just fine. The register shouldn’t calculate the BOGO free until your card is scanned.

  5. Jennifer says:

I just wanted to comment on the Pepsi/Coors Light Rebate. I could not fine anywhere on any of the four pages where it stated that it was limited to 20,000. So my sister-in-law called CoorsLight directly and spoke with someone in the rebate department. They assured us that there is no limit on the rebate. As long as it is submitted according to the rebate requirements, there is no limit on the number of rebates that will be issued. That was directly from Coors Light. Just thought folks would like to know. Not sure where this 20,000 number came from, but I certainly do not see it on the rebate form.

    • Carrie Rocha says:

Jennifer – Laura saw it last week on Coors website. I will update the post with the info you provided. Thanks!

      • Laura Wales says:

SO glad to hear that there is no limit. When I originally found the rebate form on another site, I did a little bit of investigating to determine if it was legit. Apparently the rebate form was originally generated if you entered a sweepstakes on the Coors website, and after you were done entering the sweepstakes, a page came up that said it was limited to 20,000. Thanks to your sister-in-law for making the call!

  6. Melissa Engel says:

Great day at CVS!! Lots of the Rimmel make up is 75% off, but you need to note it at the register, because their system does either the precentage off of the BOGO, so they need to manually enter it.

Love my free Ester Cs! Free organic shampoo! Today I saved $151.91 I know their prices are inflated but still!! Wow that felt good. Plus $12 in rebates to submit for.

*If you are doing multiple rebate items don’t forget to do them in seperate transactions, so you can send in original receipts.

  7. Melissa Engel says:

Dawn I just did the Ester cs with 2 $5 coupns with no problem.

  8. Katie says:

I wanted to do the Eucerin deal so I made sure to buy 4 papers today figuring I can always use all of the other coupons too. But, to my disappointment, the Red Plum inserts in the Pioneer Press do not have this coupon!

  9. Dawn says:

Thanks Melissa. I have only found one 5.00 coupon so far but should have the other one. I will look again.

You did great! WOW. It all helps.

  10. Pam says:

Are the month long deals that you had listed last week still valid this week? Like the Oust and Soy Joy bars. BTW, how do you find out about those deals? If it weren’t for this site, I’d have no idea about the month long ones.

    • Kierstien says:

Pam I also go to i heart cvs dot com to look for deals. HTH!

Carrie- is it okay i post that info on here? if not let me know and I will not in the future THANX for all you do!

  11. Shannon says:

FYI Rogers does not carry the Rimmel cosmetics. They also did not take the $1/almay coupon.

  12. Melissa Engel says:

April my oop was $24, but I had ECB’s to cover that and then the $12 in rebates and made an additional $6 in ECBs.

  13. Lynn says:

This is my first week going to CVS and other than items being out of stock thanks to all you pocket your dollars folks, it is a great experience. Much better than my two weeks at Walgreens. I sort of giggle now when I go in with my list and find the space empty and it has become quite a game to see who can get their first. Thanks all for your help with getting the good deals.

  14. Mindy says:

All, I don’t know if you’re all aware, but there’s also a CVS coupon for Stacy’s chips (and other snack food brands on one coupon) on the CVS web site under “coupons.” I’m assuming these could be stacked with the Stacy’s manufacturer’s Qs.

  15. Kimmerr77 says:

Does CVS accept man coupons with walgreens name on it?

  16. Angela says:

I also did the tampax and alway on page 2 of the CVS ad and stacked it with the BOGOF coupons in the 12/27 PG incert. The coupon expire 1/31/10.

  17. Corbin says:

Jennifer, whom at Coors was contacted about this? At what phone number?

A Pocket Your Dollars’ reader called the company and confirmed that there is no limit on the number of rebate submissions that will be honored as part of this promotion. So the following note is NO LONGER accurate: The Coors Light website (which this rebate is from) states that only 20,000 refunds will be awarded. Since the rebate period is from December 11, 2009 to February 8, 2010, there’s a chance that many rebates have already been submitted. You need to decide for yourself whether you want to risk having
your rebate not be awarded due to the maximum number of rebates having already been submitted by the time you send yours in.
