Mary got this email back from Yankee Candle’s corporate office, “I do apologize that you were unable to use your coupon. We are not accepting coupons during the Clearance sale. I do apologize for any disappointments this may have caused. If we can be any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.”
Print this coupon and take $10 off any $25 purchase at any Yankee Candle store or Yankee Candle’s website. I mention it only because many holiday gift sets are 50% off.
If you can think ahead to next Christmas (yes, the one that is coming in 362 days!), then maybe pick up $25 in holiday gifts (originally valued at $50, but on clearance half-price), then use the printable coupon to pau $15 for $50 in candles. I aim for 75% off for my gifts, but if it’s a perfect fit for someone on my list, then 70% off would do just fine!

I tried to use this code on their website and it wouldn’t work. I finally called and they told me it is only good online on items that are not on sale. They did not know how whether or not the coupon would work in stores on sale items.
I went to the Mall of America store today and they told me I could not use the coupon on sale merchandise – only full price merchandise, although I didn’t see anything on that coupon to that effect.
Pam – I too read through the coupon with a fine toothed comb and didn’t see any language to that effect. I’d encourage you to write a nice, polite letter to Yankee Candle corporate telling them of your experience.
I emailed Yankee candle when I too was told I couldn’t use the coupon. Here is the response I got:

I was able to use my Yankee Candle Coupon today on Christmas clearance items. It must just depend on each store.

I used my coupon at Eden Prairie Center
Sorry, I guess I should have said the Yankee Candle store at Eden Prairie center. I even asked the store manager if there were limitations on the coupon. She said as long as I got the $25 worth, I could use the coupon.
I just went to the Eden Prairie (EP) Center and was able to use the above coupon on clearance items. I purchased holiday scented large candles, small candles on sale and clearance gift boxed items. (The cashier never questioned me.)
