Thanks for Carrie’s help this week.
I hope next week is better. I do not see any good deals at Walgreens this week.
Carrie-I really appreciate it when you tell us if a deal is rock bottom price or just a good deal-like the colgate and the P&G items this week. Thanks for all your hard work.
I’m vacationing in TN this week and there was a Tide Stain release coupon in today’s paper (12/27). Don’t know if the MN papers had it or not. There are also a lot of coupons for the PG deal in the Refresh Your Nest booklet if you have it. If not, request one at http://www.startsampling.com/sm/100880/quickQuestion.iphtml?item=100880&source=RYN.

Buy 2 boxes GM cereal (sale 2/$4) & a gallon of milk, get $2 RR
I had 2 $1/l box Gm printable coupons
so I paid for the milk & the cereal was “free”
Kari- Where’s the GM IP?
Does Walgreens really give you 2 free on the La Cross Beauty Tool–on sale buy one, get one free with coupon? Please let me know if it worked for anyone and which location. Thanks!
Jena – I plan to do it later this week and don’t expect any issues, especially since the Walgreens promotion will ring up at the register without a Walgreens coupon or anything.
Has anyone tried buying the 2 cereal without buying the milk and still get the $2RR at wags? I saw on another blog that someone tried without the milk and still got the $2RR.
I messed up BIG TIME. I had RR that have now expired to the tune of $50+. Is there anything I can do to make this “ouch” a little less painful?
Terri, Some people said they’ve used expired RR’s at Cub. I have not tried that personally but I have used expired RR’s at Walgreens. I don’t know if they didn’t notice or didn’t care… not sure which.
Terri,
Depending on where you shop, I’ve had success using my Wag’s RR at Cub. They accept them as a manufacturer coupon. Good luck!
Terri,
I agree withothers see ifyour cub accepts the RR’s. mine in lakeville does. If yours doesnt email me and maybe we can work out a trade or something. kierstienafetzek@gmail.com
Terri ~
I’ve had Walgreens accept RR that are a day late, depending on the cashier. I’ve made it a habit to keep receipts for RR items and not open the packaging and if I forget to use the RR, I can always return the unused items. Do you still have receipts? If you paid with a credit card, you should be able to return w/o receipt…
Hope that helps.
The January Coupon Book is available today at my Walgreens in Northfield. The BONUS coupons on the wags website for this week are for school supplies. A great time to stock up for a new term!
I’m thinking about doing the spend $20 and get $5RR deal with Cascade. If I use the q’s from the Home Made Simple mailer the soaps should run about $2.24 for one 60 oz. bottle. I’m new at this, is that a good price? What’s a rock bottom price on dishwasher detergent?
The Walgreens in Hopkins by Knollwood takes the register rewards up to a week expired. Each time I’ve asked a head of time if they take expired ones and the managers there have not had a problem with it.
Walgreens also has Carefree Pantyliners on sale with a Walgreens coupon for 99 cents. (Print off walgreens website) Then if you also use this printable coupon http://www.carefreefreshstart.com/special-offers
for a dollar off they are free!
:D
I am new to RR and have a question. This week I was planning on doing the Vicks for the $10 RR. With that $10 RR I was planning on purchasing the 3 12packs of soda for $12 (which we need for our New Years Party) and getting the $4 RR from that as well as several other items listed. My last purchase was going to be the GM cereal and milk with the $4 RR. Is that how this works? Thanks!
Erin,
Yes. That’s the beauty of Wags. As long as the RR you are using is from a different manufacturer (not just different item) then you should be able to continually “roll” it (use it on another item that will also generate a RR). Also, read Carrie’s tutorial above (how to shop at Wags) to see other info you will need, for instance, stuff about total number of Qs and RRs.
Erin,
Yes, that is how it works. HOWEVER, know this about Walgreens: it all depends on the cashier. I had one cashier who would not let me use RR’s from transaction #1 in transaction #2. I had to leave the store and come back later in the day to buy transaction #2. She also would not let me use more than one BOGO coupon despite the fact I had the requisite number of items in my purchase. Yet, there is one cashier at my Walgreens who will scan every coupon I give her and accept it as long as it scans…I used 2 expired RR’s that way. It’s best to get to know the cashiers at your Walgreens and find the ones who know and understand how couponing works…and figure out their work schedules. ;-)
I have two Walgreens RR that expired. They do not say “manufacture coupon” at the top. Will Cub still take them?
Just got back from Walgreens. Did the Prilosec deal. On sale for $18.99…buy three and get $10 RR. I had a $3/1 coupon and a $7/2 coupon. Total OOP $46.97. After RR’s, each 42-ct. box was $12.32. That’s more than half off the regular price at Walmart. Since my husband takes it every day, it was a FABULOUS deal. I have enough coupons (three more $3/1) to do the deal again tomorrow. Woo-hoo!
Just got back from Walgreens and I did get both Sally Hansen Tools for FREE!! The lady at the cosmetic counter was great.
My wags has the january coupon book! Keep your eyes open! came out 27th!
Kierstien
Does anyone know if Walgreens accepts expired manufacturer’s coupons (non-RR)?
Terri,
Three weeks ago I used $65 in rr’s at Cub…I called SuperValue corporate and asked where teh nearest corporate owned store was located…I’m in WBL and the Cub in Stillwater is corporate owned..all went great.
The cashier, young man about 18 or 19 years old..was confused, but I said just try them..the scanned with no problems. This does still baffle me, but I’m thinking that SuperValue must have some ownership in WAGS??
I can use my RR’s in Lakeville I called and asked them and they gave me the go ahead!!! Now only if I could find some more glucose monitor Q’s I’d be in BUSINESS for some FREE groceries!
Hey everyone I have a question about ALL YOU magazine. Is it worth getting a subscription? How many Q’s are there in each one? Do you seem to think you get lots of freebies since you also have these Q’s avail? Are they more valuable then the ones in the inserts? Also where do you get yours? Or do you just pick them up each mo. at Walmart? I’d rather not go to walmart because i dont like the one in Apple Valley and thats the only one near me. I only go to Walmart when I visit my mom in Monticello cuz I <3 that Walmart! lol.
Thanks!
Can anyone direct me to the Carefree coupon that is supposed to be on the Walgreens website? I’m having trouble finding it. Thanks!
Forget it….found the Carefree coupon! ;)
Free Movie Nite!!!! Use Red Box Code: DVDATWAG (at your Walgreen’s Store Red Box) This code will give you a free movie rental at Walgreen’s only Red Box Stations. Also, if you start another rental transaction you can use a 2nd code DVDONME for another free movie. (the 2nd code does not have to be used at Walgreen’s) I just used these today, a friend gave them to me. Worked great and now the kids are entertained for New Year’s Eve!!!! I don’t know if or when they expire.
