Panda Research: $3 for Sign-Up and $3 Minimum Per Survey

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Edit: I said below that I am not a survey connoisseur, but that some friends of mine in the blogosphere had recommended Panda so I shared them in this post. Honestly, I wish I hadn’t as they are not getting good reviews from Pocket Your Dollars readers. I will let you know when Pinecone, a research firm many love, opens up their rolls again.

I am not an at-home survey connoisseur, but I have heard good things about Panda Research. You’ll get $3 when you sign up, then you’ll be paid at least $3 for every survey you complete for them.

Your turn: What is your favorite survey company and why?

Of course AFTER I signed up I decied to check for reviews on Panda, and they weren’t great. Lots of complaints for non-payment and such. It wasn’t that the site was an exact scam site, but more that they had a very high pay-out threshold and they have you sign-up for company offers etc that aren’s surveys and take a lot of time. I will stay signed up for awhile, and report back what my experience is. I did get $3 put into my “Panda” account, but although this account exists somewhere, I have no access to this money until after a $100 threshold is reached. Read reviews and see what you think.

I have been a member of this website, and have done MORE than $100 of surveys – The trick is – once you get to “Darn near” $100, they quit updating your account balance. I have never received a penny from this place when I have requested a check. Very scammy company.. I would NOT advise to give these people your information – or time.

  3. Dennis says:

I am from Lakeville MN And I have been doing surveys and making a great deal of money. I will give panda a try but I have a lot of luck with an other one I use. You can see my proof at my blog on yuwie Click here for my blog

  4. Penny says:

Beware of the blog link for yuwie…tons of pop ups and undesireable content.

  5. Lisa says:

Thanks, Penny — I was just about to click the link when I saw your warning!

  6. Dennis says:

What is the undesirable content Penny I would like to know!! I am just trying to help I can not control what type of pop ups your computer allows my computer does not allow any so I don’t get them!!! I would sugest getting a newer computer or better protection!!

  7. Becky says:

I didn’t get any pop ups from the link. So, if you want to check it worked for me. Sorry, I didn’t sign up for anything though.

  8. Heather says:

I’m not sure, I’ve never heard of Panda Research. Has anyone heard of UTALKBACK.com? I signed up a while ago and it sounds similar. I had plenty of surveys in the beginning and now I receive very few, if I even qualify for them. I’ve had the account for almost a year and I’m not up to 100 points yet (lowest reward). I’m not sure if they let you even reach the reward. Has anyone else heard of this website, or have good/bad reviews?

  9. Katie says:

I am part of youralkback and yes they surveys seemed to slow for a little while. I have had my account for a few months now. Maybe 8 or nine and am almost at 400 points. I guess it just depends on what surveys you qualify for by your demographics. I also have been frustrated with not qualifying though.

  10. Justin Andringa says:

My favorite survey company is Pinecone Research. $3 per survey, I usually get about 3 per month, takes 15-20 minutes, and they send you a check after every survey you complete. No threshold. I have probably done about 20 of them since I signed up in March or April.

  11. joe says:

I suggest http://www.erewards.com as a great survey site. I have been a member since 2005 and have redeemed many $$$$ for magazines, flowers, airline miles, etc.

  12. Patti says:

I do PineCone as well. I like Ipsos I-Say, too. PineCone pays $3 per survey, they pay after each survey, and they pay via mailed check or paypal.
I-say gives points for each survey taken, and fewer points if you try but don’t fit the demographic. You can redeem for cash starting at 50 points. I’ve done global test market and e-rewards, and am not impressed with them. Don’t recall which, but one of them only allows redemption for U-promise savings. Which I don’t do. Could be good if you do u-promise.

  13. Jess says:

    How do you join Pinecone?

  14. Tiffany says:

I am part of Erewards as well & have received giftcards from completing surveys! They are legit!

  15. Justin Andringa says:

    Tiffany,
How did you sign up for Erewards? I see from their website that membership is by invitation only from a sponsor.

  16. Penny says:

    Dennis,

My computer is only two months old and I stand by my statement.

  17. Cari says:

I checked it out and went through the sign up process but it looked very “scammy” I removed myself almost instantly but low and behold, I already got a solicitaion call about something that I wasn’t even interested in! Boo!!

  18. Erin L. says:

I signed up for it too and already got a solicitation call too. I said no to all the offers and still got a ton of spam email and a solicitation call! TERRIBLE! I cancelled already, but I’m afraid it’s too late!

  19. Melissa Engel says:

Yikes I got a solicitaion call immediately after checking into this and 4 junk emails within 3 minutes of “joining”. Freaked me out and I backed out quick!!

  20. SarahBB says:

I unsubscribed today– phone calls at my home and junk mail overload.

  21. Vonda says:

I got a solicitation call immediately for something I didn’t sign up for. Don’t do Panda.

  22. Sheri says:

I like erewards for online surveys. They do not send you cash, but there are a lot of things that you can get. I have not had any problems with redeeming, although, I did not get as many surveys once I did redeem my credits. http://www.erewards.com

  23. Stella Becker says:

I recommend Pandaresearch to all. I registered with pandaresearch few months back and i am glad i took the right decision. I was really surprised, first when i got my money. They really pay you on time. As soon as i made $50 i requested for a payment and i received my payment after 30 days….which is not too long. Its easy and i get paid through paypal. They have good surveys for offers for almost everything which is useful for everyone. This is a great way to earn some extra income with great fun. Highly recommended and extremely reliable.
