**Some people are reporting that Almay cosmetics are ringing up buy one, get one free even though the ad says buy one, get one 50% off. If this happens to you I wouldn’t advise simply counting the error in your favor. Ask the cashier and/or store manager about it so you have disclosed the error to them. If they honor the register’s mistake, that it their choice and you could end up with an even better deal.

I saw a Rolaids and Mylanta month long register reward today wile at Walgreens;
Buy two Get $5 RR’s The prices varied from 4.99 to $7.49.
Does anyone know of any coupons that would work with this?
I think I’m on a roll tonight..also spotted at Wags a Buy 2 Zicam products get $5 RR’s..maybe this was already on the list…I’m a bit tired right now, so if it is already listed I apologize for missing it.

Penny- that’s great news- I know when I was going through some SS and RP last night I saw Zicam coupons. According to A Full Cup, there were some in the 10/25 SS.
I don’t think they are high value but maybe there are some Wags coupons to stack?

I thought there was a Walgreens (monthly) coupon that could be used on Almay as well? Maybe it was another Almay product line….
Check at the front of the store for the new November coupon books and I believe there is a $4 off coupon on Almay. That sounds almost to good to be true.
I was just at the Walgreen’s in Forest Lake. I bought 2 Almay mascaras — $6.99 and $7.99. They came up as buy one, get one 50% off. I also used the $4 off coupon from the November coupon book. I ended up with $8 off due to the coupon and $3.50 off from the BOGO 50% off. The total was $3.48 for both mascaras. Not a bad deal, but after reading about the BOGO deal, I was hoping for better!

Sign up and then you are directed to the coupon. It doesn’t use a coupon printer so you can actually choose the number of copies you want to print.
My thoughts on printing more than one in this case is that they don’t care how many you print. I will be collecting the Zicam and donating it to my local food shelf, so I will not be “profiting” from use of the coupons. I’ve seen some coupon ethics question in recent posts, so I thought i would address this now. Zicam has chosen their method of coupon deliver.

I got $15 of Almay RR’s on Sunday for the pure blends deal and got really excited since I figured out a fun way to roll them for things I know I will actually want and use. I have had so many register reward money makers lately that it is almost getting hard to use them – almost! :) I hate to use them on things without coupons and still want stretch them as far as I can and try to get items I want or will use.

I must be the only one buying the lubriderm lotion deal, but in checking closer, I think you are required to buy the 16 oz. size for the $8 rebate????? It’s still a great deal ($20.97 regular price $4.00 after all coupons and register rewards).
I just went and did the Lubriderm deal. The only problem came to when the $2.00 coupons from the Sunday paper were used. The first $2 coupon was accepted, the next one beeped and the cashier was about to tell me that I could only use one $2 coupon but then he changed his mind and forced the coupons through. So I paid $2.59 for the three Lubriderm and received $8 back in RR. Great Deal.

I am curious as to the Walgreens policy for coupons? It doesn’t seem to be the same for all stores. I know someone mentioned they used a Walgreens coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon, but they have not allowed me to do so at my Walgreens in Maplewood — unless I had more products than coupons in my purchase. Also, I could not use the Herbal Essences buy one get one free with the free product coupon (from Facebook). They quoted the coupon’s instructions of “limit one coupon per purchase” which I believed was one coupon per product, not that I couldn’t use two Herbal Essences coupons to purchase two products in one transaction.
I probably won’t bother to go to Walgreens anymore for their “deals”, it’s just too much trouble.
I went to the Zicam link Penny mentioned and the coupon I printed says it expires 10/31/09.
How long are RR’s usually good for-when they expire?. I am thinking about making a trip to Walgreens………..

I went to Walgreens today and received two RR and both expire on 11/17/09. So 15 days or two weeks from when you get them.

Did anyone use RR to pay for their products this week? I’m wondering if you paid with RR if the register gave you new RRs for the new deals.

This is something it took me quite a while to get, but you need to pay close attention to the the manufacturer on the RR. Ex. if you use a lubriderm rr and use that rr in a transaction with lubriderm…it voids your new rr. I know more about what company produces what now than ever before, but once you do this a couple of times it get easier.

I used RR from last week to pay for my purchase on Monday night and I still got a ton of RR’s from the products Carrie had on the list. Penny has it right – it can’t be the sponsor of the RR.
I just went to the Zicam site and the coupon I got was expiration of 12/15 so maybe they updated it.

I ended up getting 2 Almay One Coat mascaras (with B1G1 and $4 off each with coupon in their November flier). for -50 cents. I found a cute little hand lotion for 99 cents to make up for the negative total and ended up with 2 mascaras and a hand lotion for only 56 cents! Good deal!
I had a couple of crazy Wags runs today. The first one I bought 3 of the 6oz. Lubriderm and there was definitely a sign under it stating that the 6 oz was included in in the RR deal. I found the Lubriderm Wags Q in the pharmacy. I also bought 2 of the Almay 1-coat mascaras and used the $4 off Wags Q and they rang up BOGO. Then I bought one of the eye shadow and foundation natural makeup that had the RRs (they rang up BOGO too). I get to the checkout at the make-up counter and the cashier says the CAT machine is not working correctly on these deals but that the manager would make it good. I paid with RRs from last week plus $2.?? cash. The manager gave me a $23 gift card. I then went to another Wags and did the Almay deals again and they rang up BOGO 50%. Still a good deal though. All in all I spent about $6 cash (plus RRs) and received 3 – 6 oz Lubriderm lotions, 2 Almay foundation, 2 Almay eyeshadows, 4 Almay mascaras and 120 pictures. And, I still have some RRs left. I love Wags!
Jen, Where did you find the deal for the free $9.99 aveeno travel kit with the purchase of 3 aveeno products? Also where did you find the $10 off of 3 aveeno products? I must have missed those some how. Thanks!
Donna – on page 12 of this weeks ad it lists that Aveeno products are 25% off – and when you buy three you get a free Travel Essentials Kit worth 9.99 (no coupon needed). It is a decent kit for getting it free and would make a great gift item for x-mas or a birthday, etc. I had the $10/3 Aveeno coupon from a while ago – there aren’t anymore prints left on this campaign. I am not aware of any Aveeno coupons out there right now. If you do decide to still do it cause you like the products, etc – there is a $2.00 coupon inside the travel kit that you could take out and use on the purchase. I suppose I should have noted in my previous post that the $10/3 was from an old campaign but the coupon didn’t expire till 12/31/09 so I held onto it.
Karen and Penny ~ thanks for your imput, and yes, I knew about not doubling up on MFRs. However, the last time I went to my Wags both the cashier and the manager said that “word was” there was something new “coming down the pipe” that in the future you would not be allowed to use old RRs to buy new products that would generate an RR. If you paid with an RR then none of your new RRs would print. They just didn’t know when it would go into effect. After that I’ve been nervous. In my mind, though, it is just going to create more ‘multiple transactions’ for them so seems kinda silly for them to implement this. Glad to hear you didn’t have problems this week.
There are Zicam coupons by the products on the end cap at the Maplewood Wag by Rainbow.
To avoid problems with register rewards I do two transactions – one for all the items that are going to generate register rewards and then another one so I can use the register rewards.
I usually do these at two different times – that way I can make sure I’m not using my RR on products that aren’t allowed – and also it gives me the chance to use the register rewards right away so I don’t forget about them and let them expire.

Has anyone found the Lubriderm coupon in the “Diabetes and You”?
I grabbed one at the St. Anthony Wags and do not see a $1 coupon in the magazine.

I looked in multiple diebetes fliers and found no coupons for the Lubriderm lotion either. I printed out 3 $2.00 coupons erlier this week hoping to get 3 of the $3.69 bottles. I went about 6 different times 2 two close by stores(both on hwy 7in Hopkins and Knowlwood). They never had the correct smaller size. Each time I went though, I would pick up Almay products a and other great deals. Both stores Almay would ring up as a BOGO. The manager rang it the 1st time and looked at the receipt and said, “looks like your getting some deal!” When you use the $4coupon, it takes off $8 total for 2, then they give you the free mascara too. He was fully aware that both products were free. Then I bought a foundation and lipgloss each time also. I got back a $5 and $10 RR and free lip gloss and eye shadow. I have sooo many almay RR now. Today the correct size for the Lubriderm was at the Hopkins CrossRoads/Hwy 7 Wags. It rung up at $3.99 each. I bought 3, got $6 off in coupons and $8 RR. I think I need to buy little organizers for all my extra things. I added up my Wags receipts for the week and it totaled around $160 I paid about $19 out of pocket. ( :
