If you buy 2 of the ICBINB sticks it prints out a $2 catalina .. nice way to sweeten the deal.

Mission corn tortillas are 99 cents a pkg, they have peelies on them for 55 cents off "any" (this will likely continue to be on sale next week as they had a big display at St Anthony)

On displays in the store are coupons for a $1.25 off three of these items (shows holiday recipe and features jello on the front) , it includes the philly cream cheese.

Stella blue chesse or gorgonzola cups in ad coupon $1.99 (limit 2) , in store there are tear pads for $1/2.

In ad coupon 50 cents off culinary circle artisan bread , the cheapest loaves are 99 cents. YUM!

Jennifer - You should be able to sleep at night if you don't go through the big hassle you did to get a $1 mistake corrected, because what happened to Peggy (see this week's Target shopping list comments) has happened to me quite often at Target. I feel like I have to watch the cashier like a hawk and if I have more than about 10 coupons, I hand them to the cashier 2 or 3 at a time because quite often I see them skip one or they drop coupons, etc. When I had my $3 Kashi coupons at a recent trip, thank goodness I had added up what I should have in coupons and when the cashier was done, I knew it was $6 off. Luckily, the missing $3 coupons were easy to find, but word to the wise - add up the amount of coupons you will be giving the cashier and do the math in your head when your total comes up and watch the cashier as they scan the coupons, maybe even handing them a few at a time to make sure none are skipped. I have had the same thing happen at Cub, but not as often as Target. It was easy for you to correct your mistake and hand them the $1, but getting a correction the other way would be quite a feat, so watch close so those mistakes don't happen.

I agree with Tippy 100%. It is people like Mike who ruin it for the rest of us honest coupon using people.

I accidently gave three manufacture coupons for only two items at Target and all three rang up. I noticed the mistake when I was trying to figure out why the Target coupon didn't show the actual amount of the coupon. Turned out I gave the wrong printed coupon. So I gave that one to the cashier, she took that one off and I tried explaining to her that she needed to add back $1.00 for the extra manufacture coupon. She couldn't figure out how to do it and the store was extremely busy, so I took my stuff and the coupon and explained it at Customer Service, I got my coupon back and paid them the additional $1.00 that I owed. I would never be able to sleep if I even thought about letting it go. I felt really bad about making the mistake to begin with, but I did get it corrected right away.

I have found many times that I am saving more money at Cubs than Rainbow and I even go on double days. I come out of Rainbow exhausted from doing five trans. and I still spend 50.00 dollars and then I go to cubs and wow I come out with a huge bag of items. Any tips would help. I think I will just stick to what is on Carries list and bypass doing so many trans at Rainbow???

Just in case theres someone who has yet to go to cub for the Kelloggs deal, the $4 off coupon prints on the cub receipt not a catalina. I was a little annoyed when it didn't print out until I looked and saw it attatched to my receipt along with a $2 off survey coupon.

my mistake: i weighed the pros and cons i could argue for why i should or shouldn't take advantage of the self-checkout machines, pointed out flaws i discovered with the system itself and stole a dollar from cub. i'll stick to reading carrie's suggestions and bypass sharing any tips i come across in the future if editorial other comments i may make are going to be misrepresented. i didn't ask for acceptance or endorsement of what i said. but i wrongly assumed people were able to think critically and realize i wasn't bragging about what i did, or trying to share a money-saving tip. i wrongly assumed when nobody responded that it meant people realized i wasn't seeking praise for anything i did.

you won't have to worry about me pointing out the flaws and ethical debates i come across ever again. and since it's once in a blue moon i spot a deal that isn't already noted, you won't miss out on many money-saving bargains from me. happy couponing!

Thought I'd leave this one alone but I dislike that it is assumed that because there was no response to Mike that the majority are "everyone else" and agree with what you did, Mike. When I read your e-mail I also thought that you were trying to justify a bad choice. In fact, "justify" is the term you used in your post. Lets be honest...most people do get caught up by temptation periodically but its those who can see it as a mistake and resolve not to do it again (or go back and try to undo the harm they have done) that redeem themselves. It appeared to me in your last thoughts in your post that you had come to that conclusion as well. Tippy, that could by why some did not originally respond to Mike's post.

Just got back from Cub, wanted everyone to know that the Del Monte cans- they said limit 6, but they cashier let me do 8 and use the 1:00/8 from I believe Red Plum this week.

I don't remember if this was an unanswered question about the Nabisco deal or not, but there is a Big Nabisco stand in the back of my store with cracker sales, on it there is a holiday book that has the rebate form for 10$ off ten participating items, plus there are coupons. Definitely a good pick up. OH yeah , and some good looking recipes too!

I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed that no one has called "Mike" out on the coupon stealing. It's simply not okay to steal. Ever.

Honestly, if you think the self-serve lanes are such a rip-off, don't use them. But to believe that you are somehow owed for your begrudging willingness to use them? Absolutely ridiculous. Those lanes serve a very specific purpose, if they don't meet your needs, don't use them. Quite simple really.

You are correct about one thing though - this is one of the things that leads to higher prices for everyone. Thanks.

Thanks, Julie, for letting me know about both the Kellogg's coupon, and the $4 oyno coupon.
I'm planning to go to Cub today and I think I'll get the Kellogg's cereals, and get my $4 catalina, then do a 2nd transaction and I can then use my $4 coupon right away.
It's helpful that you said the catalina is $4 off anything on your order and not just milk like it says in the Cub ad, because my husband is the only milk drinker here and we don't go through it very fast. So thanks for letting me know about that.

Not sure if anyone is still looking at the deals since it is getting into the week, but I was at Walmart and they have the same price for butter 98 cents and the Philly Cream cheese for 88 cents and the bonus, there is no limit on them, so I stocked up, I freeze butter all the time and it is just fine. I am not sure about the CC, but I am sure you could google it.

I was at cub tonight, got 4 12-pks of diet pepsi and diet drpepper (2 each) and the cashier pulled off one of the 'stickies' on the diet pespi 12-pk and scanned it. At first I didn't notice but when I got home I looked at my reciept and it had a 1.00 coupon deducted that I didn't recall giving her and after opening up a diet pepsi I saw the stickie on there so I pulled it off and saw it said 1 off your next purchase of sierra mist 2liters. Then I noticed my other pepsi 12-pk was missing this sticky so I assume that she rang it up without reading it. Maybe that's what some of the readers are talking about??? Otherwise, I don't know of any 12-pk coupons because I have a couple of $1 off of a 24-pk (case) from the cases a few wks ago but I didn't use them because it technically isn't a 24-pk although I did buy two 12-pks. I also got the Trop50 (thank u to the first person who posted the coupon for it!), miracle whip for 1.99 since we were out, and also grabbed 5lbs potatoes for 68 cents. Otherwise, I do the majority of my shopping at Rainbow since we can double coupons there. Cub had some great unbeatable prices again this week! I would definitely shop Cub more if they did double coupons too. I can't wait for 99 cent chicken again! ;)

I can’t wait for 99 cent chicken again! ;)

To Amy (and others)

I found a site that lists all the coupons in Red Plum and Smart source alphabetically each week. I print the list weekly so I can look quickly for coupons when they're not referenced. It doesn't take but a minute to look through them all for one thing you need.

There's been few that haven't matched what I have, (says there woud be campbells but isn't etc) but overall it's been great. Allows you to look quick alphabetically.
