Aldi Shopping List 11/1 – 11/7/09

aldi

These are the best sale-priced items at Aldi this week, based on the Minneapolis/St. Paul sales flyer. I didn’t include everything from the sales flyer because frankly, not every advertised item is at a great price.  Aldi’s prices are very regionalized, so prices at your store may vary.

If you’ve never shopped at Aldi bring a quarter (not 25 cents, but a quarter) for the refundable deposit on your cart and your own bags. They take cash or debit card, but not credit card. Find an Aldi near you.  Remember that their produce is ripe for eating when you buy it, so be prepared to eat it, freeze, can it or otherwise use it up right away.

Produce

Broccoli Crowns. $1.19 per pack.

Tomatoes. $1.19 per pack (and a pack is at least 2 pounds)

Tangerines. $0.99 for qa 3-pound bag

Other Groceries

Beaumont Ground Exotic Coffee. $3.99 for 12-ounces. Has anyone tried this? Is it good?

Flavored, Refrigerated Creamer. $1.49 for 16-ounces. On sale with coupon this can be less elsewhere, but this is a great sale price.

Your turn: What else are you getting at Aldi this week?

I am passionate about helping people keep their money where it belongs - in their pocket. I live in Minneapolis, MN with my husband and two little girls.

The coffee is pretty good, my mom really likes it.

hmm, I think I tossed my expanded ad by accident and for some reason the deal is not featured on the website….they have a good deal on a spiral cut ham $1.49 a pound (about 8 pounds each).
We’re using it for sandwiches instead of the pricey deli ham (if 8 pounds of meat is unappealing, I read of a Target printable $1.50 off one pound deli meat and the Archer Farms ham is on sale for $1.50 a pound…)

I have the meat off the bone, will freeze some cubes and the bone for a soup/ beans later. YUM!

The grand opening of Aldi is this week in St. Cloud. I’m excited to see what they have to offer. By the way – we just came back from Europe and in Germany there was a big todo as the Aldi brothers are the richest people in Germany. We heard they are very reclusive and no one actually knows where they live.

that creamer price at my Aldi is for 32 ounces – the BIG one. It’s usually over $4 for that size at my Cub so it’s a huge savings

Watch out for the Aldi soy milk, though. It has gone up in price. Buying the Silk brand in bulk at Sam’s is cheaper, much to my surprise!
