Walgreens Shopping List 10/18 – 10/24/09

walgreens

Here are the best deals at Walgreens this week.  If you are having trouble getting enough items in your transaction to use all the manufacturer coupons and Register Reward you have, then listen to this tip.  Buy a number of very low cost filler items (last week it was pencils that were just pennies each) to beef up your item count since you cannot have more coupons and Register Reward than you have total items in your order.

If you are new to Walgreens’ loyalty program and earning Register Rewards, I explain in detail here. Learn to read this shopping list here. Mercedes helped get this list started and I added to it based on the best deals I found in the forums at A Full Cup.

Does anyone know of a store that has the Healthy Savings Coupon Booklet? I’ve tried calling a couple of stores and no luck.

  2. Aimee

The Walgreens in Coon Rapids had the Emergen C Booster last week. I got the last one…2 little bottles and 2 different flavors. I would think they would have more now.

  3. Aimee

Can anyone else get the Zantac coupon??? It says it is expired when I try.

  4. Sarah Beth

The Zantac and TheraFlu coupons seem to be gone.

  5. andrea

The Nature’s bounty supplements were BIGI this week. I went to their website and printed two $2.00 off coupons!

  6. Jessa

Kae – I was at the Plymouth Walgreen’s on Rockford Road (in front of Target) today and they had some behind the counter. I had to ask for it.

    Good luck!

  7. Erin

under the pert plus in the walgreens ad is says,”Limit 1 coupon printed per offer.” Does that mean we can only use 1 pert plus coupon from 10-18 smartsource? When it says in the shopping list to use 2 $1.50 coupons? I am new to shopping at walgreens.

    Kae,

I just called two stores in the Blaine area. One of them had two booklets at the front register, the other, on 109th and 65 had them back in the pharmacy. They DID spend a few minutes trying to locate them.

  9. Candice

They have padded mailing envelopes on sale 3/$1. I bought six of them as fillers to use some RR. Original price on many of them was $1.59, so I thought that was a great deal anyway. I had to ask which ones were included in the sale as they weren’t marked. According to the salesperson I talked to, only the non-shiny envelopes are included in the sale.

  10. Cath

Are the Theraflu and Triaminic mix & match? That is, can I buy one Triaminic and 2 Theraflu for the $8 RR? Anyone?

  11. Melanie

I was at an Eagan Walgreens store last night and the Theraflu coupon from the Healthy Savings book that expires in Dec was not working. The manager had to come up and manually enter it. He had never seen it before and asked where I got it.

Walgreens has a sale for $1.99 Bayer aspirin products (Walgreens coupons). If you print the coupon for Bayer aspirin off of this site—buy two bottles and save $4.00, you can get two bottles of Bayer aspirin products for free this week. :)

  13. Becca

I have not tried this, yet, but print a coupon on this site for $2.00 off a Nestle bag of candy. Walgreens currently has a special if you purchase two bags of Nestle candy for $4.00. You could very well end up paying $2.00 for a 2 bags of candy. Not a bad Halloween deal!

  14. MB

    The Zantac coupon has expired.

  15. connie

If you go to this website http://www.trypertplusfree.com/ you can print a rebate form for Pert For Men. Good on any specially marked Pert Plus for Men product . There must be a “Try Me Free” sticker on the package. They will send a rebate check for up to $3.99 via mail.
Better then free after coupons, rr and rebate!

  16. Karen

I’m new to shopping at Walgreens. I stopped at 2 stored today while I was out and about looking for two of the month long register rewards. Both stores were out of both items. Does anyone know if they restock these during the month or are they gone for the rest of the month now?

  17. Pat Sullivan

    Bumblebee Tuna cans were on sale for $,55 each I used $1/2 q & got 2 for $.10. Also, I bought 2 Glade candles today & only received a $1RR? Wasn’t I supposed to get 2?

  18. ltickle

ester C was 15.99 @ my walgreens (54th/lyndale in mpls)

  19. Karen

Wow! I finally feel like I am doing this right. Today I went to Walgreens (with a list and my coupons) I purchased 2 Sure Deodorant and 2 Trident Layers Gum. I paid $1.07 and then got $1.00 register rewards!!!!!! After that it was less than 2 cents a item!!!!!!

Just think flipping the channels this past August and stopping on the TCL show (that Carrie just happened to be on) has helped me save money. Thank you Carrie and everyone else that helps out.

  20. Jennifer

Just went to the Walgreen’s off 494 and Penn they had a ton of the Healthy Savings books along with an October Coupon Book.

  21. Mitzie

There is a rebate offer at realsimplerewards.com for $5 with a $15 purchase of participating products. Quilted Northern is a participating product. I bought 4 – 9 roll packs last night with 4 $1 off q’s and will mail in for a $5 rebate. That gets it down to 19 cents a roll.

  22. Jennifer M.

    Mitzie:

Where do you find the rebate on that website. I also bought the Northern and could do the rebate if I could find it. : – )

    Thanks for the great tip!

  23. ERIN

What are Healthy Savings books? Do they come out with a monthly coupon book too? Does that have the monthly register rewards specials? How do you find out what the monthly register rewards are?

I am new to shopping at walgreens.

  24. ERIN

The real simple rewards is under the “holiday savings” tab/box.

  25. Mitzie

    Jennifer M:
The gobbledy gook at the bottom of my printout says http://www.realsimplerewards.com/rsn/holidaysavings/index.html Hope that works for ya.

  26. Bernice Garcia

The Zantac coupon worked for me today. Good one to keep on hand for sales.

Walgreen deals can be confusing until you learn how it all works.
The healthy savings books are coupon booklets with Walgreen’s coupons inside, look for it near the pharmacy counter. They still have the monthly coupon booklet near the carts/ front of the store with various Walgreen coupons. The monthly register rewards were advertised in the Walgreen’s circular, sometimes they advertise the same items “free after register rewards” in the ads later in the month. Store should have hang tags of all the RR items, sadly my closest doesn’t… grrrrr. There are various websites along with the information here on Pocket Your Dollars that lists the best deals. I like the simple format Carrie uses here plus the discussions on the A Full Cup walgreens forum website to really grasp how it all works. Good luck!
