If there is an upside to the down economy (only if we absolutely had to pick something) it is retailers being increasingly more generous in an effort to lure us into their stores. Halloween provides them another opportunity to do that and I am rounding up the best Halloween freebies as I find them:
Free Chiptole. Dress like a Chiptole burrito, taco, bowl or salad on October 31 and stop into any Chiptole store from 5 pm to close to get a free Chiptole burrito.
Free pie at Baker’s Square. Kids 10 and under will get a free slice of Baker’s Square pie on Friday, October 30 (not Halloween) when they come in their costume.
Free portraits at Sears. Now through October 31 get a free photo collage with no sitting fee at Sears portrait studios. (Thanks Brandie)
Free Taco Bell. Stop into any Taco Bell from 6 pm to midnight on Halloween for a free Black Jack Taco. No costume and no coupon necessary.
Free Craft e-Book. Get a free e-Book full of Halloween craft ideas.
Coupons for free bowling. Hand out these coupon for a free game of bowling at Brunswick Zone instead of candy. Cheaper and better for the teeth.
Half-priced tokens at Chuck E Cheese. Get 200 Chuck E Cheese tokens at half-price on Halloween using the right combination of coupons.
Free crafts at Michael’s. Spend the afternoon of Halloween doing free craft projects at Michael’s.
$2 off big bags of candy. Print $2 off coupons for Nestle and Wonka candy while supplies last.
Kids Eat Free. I have heard rumors that a number of major chains are offering kids eat free with purchase of adult entree promotions on Halloween. Call your local Applebee’s and Green Mill to see if they are participating.
Your turn: What other Halloween deals and freebies do you know about?

My husband and I get the free chipotle everyday, you really only need a small piece of foil as a hat or something/ bow tie.
Not free, but Sonic is having 50-cent corn dogs on Halloween night. :)
Godfather’s Pizza, free mini pizza for kids 12 and under on Halloween wyb drink.
Papa Murphy’s, free kid’s pizza for kids 10 and under when they come in their costume.
Sears is also giving away a free toy in their Toy Department when kids come in their costume.
Heather, what do you mean “you get it everyday” Isn’t this just for halloween day?
Opps I mean every year, sorry!! It’s a tradition. That would be nice to get a free burrito more than once a year, sorry for that!!
Does anyone know what time Sears is doing the toy giveaway and Papa Murphy’s kids pizza on Halloween?
I called WB & Vadnais Heights Papa Murphy’s and neither one is giving free pizzas on Halloween. Do you know of a location that is?
Heather,
Lol! You had me speechless and then cracking up! My hubby and I, too, had a really fun date getting our free chipotles! It was fun to watch the teens in line for their burritos, as well! Of course, our 17 year old son went…but to a different location! Couldn’t be seen with folks on Halloween night, ha ha!
The Sears portrait collage is free, but you do have to buy something in order to get the free item. I did this and the cheapest thing to purchase is one photo sheet for $9.99. Still a decent deal, but just wanted to let others know of the catch!
TGIFridays is doing $.01 apps with a beverage purchase on Thursday if you are in costume.
Kids eat free @ Houlihans 30th and 31st with purchase of adult dinner along with this coupon.
