Getting 10 free ovulation predictors or pregnancy tests is as simple as requesting them here. I can’t promise that they will really come, but since there is no credit card required it’s worth it to sign up using a secondary email address.

Just wanted to post this from another site. I tried to find the home site of this organization and couldn’t find a thing. Thought I would pass along the head’s up from a user on another site:
I posted this elsewhere, too. I’m not trying to be rude, but I just want to caution people…

Does anyone know if this site is legitimate? I’ve seen it posted on a few boards, and it concerns me for a few reasons:

    1. When you Google “Sacred Heart Mission” and anything about pregnant mothers or free pregnancy tests, you don’t get any related results.

    2. There is no mailing address or indication of a physical location for the organization or any people you can contact. Their contact link sends a message to a generic address.

    3. The URL for the site is freeopks.com, not a subsection of a Sacred Heart Missions website and I can’t seem to find a link anywhere to the parent organization.

    4. Their “Recent Press” magazine pictures at right are actually dead links. There is no evidence that those publications supported the site or program. (A common phishing scheme is to steal images and add them to your site to make it look more legitimate.)

    5. Perhaps most concerning of all… They aren’t actually a TRUSTe Certified site, but they are using the seal without permission, so you can’t be guaranteed your information is private.

    6. A more subjective reason that I don’t have anything to support… I find myself questioning why an organization would give away OPKs. I understand the HPTs, but what charitable reason is there for giving away the OPKs? It doesn’t follow from the traditional goals/purposes of these types of organizations.

I don’t know. It just raises some red flags for me. One of those “If it seems to be too good to be true…” type of things. Sorry, I’m not trying to by cynical, and I would hate to talk someone out of something that is a free service if it is a real program, but I really felt I needed to raise these concerns. Does anyone have anything to support that it is a legitimate site?

I smell a phishing scam. Oh well!
