This shopping list will help you get the best deals happening this week at Cub Foods.
You’ll notice two deal ideas for the “Buy $25, get $10 off your next order” promotion advertised on the back page of the ad. One is simple and straight forward, but not as discounted as the more complex option. I included them both because sometimes simple is better because it is faster and easier, even if it costs a little more. Both scenarios rely heavily on printable coupons so let’s hope that the coupons remain available throughout the week.
If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars, then learn to read this shopping list here. Most Cub stores will accept manufacturer-issued coupons up to 3 months beyond their expiration date. Some coupons referenced on this shopping list may fall in that category. If you are having trouble printing some coupons troubleshoot here.

Buy $25 worth of participating General Mills products,
Get $10.00 off your next grocery order.
Your purchase of participating items must be $25 after manufacturer’s coupons. There are an unlimited number of ways to each $25, and I picked two examples. The first is the simplest, since all the printable coupons you need are at Smart Source.com. The second is more complicated, since it involves multiple deals happening right now at Cub (even some that are not advertised this week), but results in deeper discounts.
***Simple deal idea***
Buy the following items and print their corresponding coupon here:
1 Fiber One Yogurt and use $1/1
1 Chex Mix and use $.50/1
2 Fruit Gushers or Roll-ups and use $.50/2
3 Progresso Soup and use $1.10/3
1 Green Giant Steamers and use $.50/1
1 YoPlus Yogurt and use $1.00/1
2 Grand Biscuits and use $.30/2
2 Crescent Rolls and use $.50/2
1 Go Gurt and use $.40/2
2 Cinnamon Rolls and use $.75/2
1 Warm Delight and use $.50/1
Spend $26.11, get $10 off your next order and another $4 off your next order (for purchasing a total of 6 Pilssbury biscuits)
Final price: $12.11 or $0.77 each after coupons and money off your next order
***Better bottom line, but more complicated deal idea***
It is being reported in some online forums that the $25 is actually before coupons, but this deal scenario has the $25 after coupons.
Buy 5 fruit roll-ups or fruit snacks (this will generate an additional $3.50 off your next order) and use five $.40/1 printable here, here or here
Buy 6 Grands! Sweet Rolls (purchasing 6 of any variety Pillsbury rolls will generate an additional $4 off your next order) and use six $1/1 printable here, but you’ll need to access three computers to do that
Buy 2 Total cereal and use two $1/1 printable here
Buy 2 Fiber One Cereals and use two $0.75/1 printable here

MN Coupon Adventure lists a deal scenario using 6 of the pillsbury grands =$10.14
6 GM fruit snacks=$15.00 Part of the coupons used are 6 expired $1 pillsbury coupons –its not mentioned where from. Do any of our readers know where we can find those? Are they old online Q’s maybe? The MCA deal assumes it is before Q’s–apparently a reader was able to use the deal above (which also used several other fruit snack Q’s)at the Buffalo Cub–they took it even though total before q’s was far below $25.
SarahBB – The $1/1 Grands! is a printable coupon that is no longer available for print. If someone happened to stock up on prints while it was out, they’d match-up well with this deal.
There was also a coupon for $.40 off on the packages of Black Label Bacon if you buy Grand’s Biscuits. So, I got the 2for1 deal on the bacon and bought the biscuits and put it towards my $25 purchase for $10 off next time. There was also a purchase 3 Grand’s get $.75 off coupon in the isle. I felt like a super shopper after I figured that out!
V8 Coupons aren’t printing. It says: “Invalid or missing parameter” when the link is clicked.
Mrs Kish – The V8 coupon should work now.
Carrie – your first scenario would also generate a $4 off your next order (with the 2 crescent, 2 grand biscuits and 2 cinnamon rolls)
You’re so smart JC. I’ll update it.
I only recieved 2 dollars off for buying Pillsbury…. Whats the deal??
Hi Carrie:
I am not great at this yet, but I bought the following at Cub today and used these coupons.
1 Chex Mix w/ one .50/1
1 BC Brownie Mix no coupon
2 AuGratin potatoes w/ two .40/1
1 Bisquick Mix w/one .60/1
2 Crescent Rolls w/one .50/2 (I actually used the $1/2 on pie crust package)
1 Green Giant Steamer w/one .40/1
5 Green Giant veg. boxes w/one .50/2 and one .60/3
4 Progresso Broth Boxes w/four .50/1
2 Pillsbury pie crust boxes w/one .50/2
The bills was $28.59 after 13 coupons. Plus I received the $10 coupon plus a $2 coupon because of the pie crust/crescent rolls plus a $1 off Swanson Broth. The 21 items were $.74 averaged.
I went online to find recipes before I purchased the items. Bisquick: Chicken and Dumplings and Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie. Veggie Pizza for the crescents.
Thank you, Carrie. You’re an inspiration!
When you buy three Prego Pasta Sauce it generates a $1.00 off your next order coupon!
FYI: Noticed a .55/2 Fresh Express Blends in 10/4 SS
I have a question, not Cub specific…
I have the Yoplait yogurt coupon that is “buy 6 cups, get one free”… so can I stack a “save $0.50 off of 6 cups” coupon on top of that?
Or is it only one or the other?
Connie -
Just have to say that the Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie and Veggie Pizza are both delicious :) I’ve been making the Veggie Pizza for a good 3 years now (I do mine with green/red/whatever color you like peppers, chopped fresh broccoli, shredded/chopped carrots and the regular cream cheese/ranch/parmesan topping) and it has ALWAYS been a hit everywhere I take it.) The cheeseburger pie is a family favorite. I will warn you though, my family loves it with ketchup and hot sauce on top…
Happy eating!
Jenn
Has anyone else had to wait in line while the head cashier checks all the internet printed coupons you have? The Cub in Fridley, last week let me go through the line with just a couple of questions to another cashier. Today, however, I had to wait for almost 10 minutes (well it felt like 10) until a head cashier could come over and verify that they are legal coupons printed off the internet. I am wondering why they can’t train their employees to tell what is counterfeit and what is not? Just wondering if anyone else’s Cub is doing this. THey commented that I had the most printed ones they had ever seen ( I had maybe 8?).
Tonya, That’s a bummer. At Cub in Midway, I had a cashier that believed all on my coupons even though many were hard to read because my printer ink was running out. He would type in MC and add the discount. I hope it goes better next.. maybe the cashier was new.
I just had a couple of great runs through Cub today.
The first one, I bought 6 fruit roll-ups @ 2.50/ea = 15.00
6 various pillsbury products @ $1.69/ea = 10.14
Total BEFORE coupons was $25.14
I used 3 – .50/2 BC fruit snack mqs and 3 – $1/2 pillsbury mqs
My total out-of-pocket on this order was $21.71
I received a $10, $3.50 and $4.00 catalina coupon for my next visit.
The second trip, I bought
1 bag Nestle’s candy bars for $2.88 – $1/1 mq
3 Prego sauces @ $1.49/ea – $1/3 mq
2 Hormel bacon $4.69/bogo
2 Healthy Choice frozen dinners @ 1.99/ea. – 2 $2/1 mq
After coupons were deducted my total was $10.23
I used my $10 catalina coupon from the first run, which brought my total out-of-pocket to .23 and I received a catalina coupon for $1 off my next visit from Prego. I’ve never had such a low total before, so that was awesome, AND I still have $8.50 in catalina coupons that are good until the end of the month.
THANK YOU, CARRIE!
Connie:
Where did you find the 60./1 Bisquick Q? I remember seeing one a while back, and went thru most of my coupons, but it didn’t turn up. Thanks for any help!
I thought the Campbell’s deal was for cooking soups too, not just chicken noodle & tomato. I threw out my ad though, so who knows. Did anyone else think that too?
My cooking soup coupons I had still worked on the tomato though, so I was happy enough. Here’s the details on my trip:
http://abbyscents.blogspot.com/2009/10/week-of-1011-cub-foods.html
The Cub 3 day special is Cub butter of $0.98 a pound, limit 2. This is a great deal!
Does anyone know what else Cub has on their 3 day sale or is the butter the only item?
Just stopped by Cub for one item and my receipt said — take our (phone) survey and receive $2 off your next purchase. Takes about five minutes.
Did anyone in the Twin Cities area do the GM deal and your order reached $25 before coupons and you still got the $10 catalina? Also wondering if you could roll the $10 catalina? Is that counted as a manufacturers coupon?
Tanya,
I did the GM deal. My total was $27.91 before coupons, $19.51 after coupons and only $2.01 after I received back the catalinas ($10.00 GM, $3.50 fruit snacks, and $4.00 for Pillsbury rolls.) I purchased 14 items (2 Progresso soups, 5 boxes of fruit snacks for Halloween and 7 rolls). The resulting cost was only 14 cents per item! I did not roll the deal, but I am tempted to try it and stock up on frozen veggies.
