Walgreens Shopping List 9/27 – 10/3/09

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

walgreens

Walgreens has some great free-after-Register Reward deals running this week and others running all month long.  Shop on Tuesday or Wednesday this week and use this $5 off a $25 purchase coupon to get even better deals; the fine print on the coupon says $25 is after all manufacturer-issued and Walgreens coupons, which would include any payments made with Register Rewards, since those are considered a manufacturer-issued coupon.

If you are new to their loyalty program and earning Register Rewards, I explain in detail here.  Learn to read this shopping list hereMercedes helped get this list started and I added to it based on the best deals I found in the forums at A Full Cup.

Any one else having issues with the Theraflu coupon not printing? Reaching limit before you even print one?

  2. Karyn says:

There is a 5$ off 25$ this week on Tues and Wed here http://www.walgreens.com/topic/promotion/5off25.jsp

If you don’t have a lot of RR from previous weeks it’s a good week to get your $20 back in RR if you shop one of those two days.

  3. Priscilla says:

I am unable to get the Theraflu coupon to print at all as well.

  4. Jen says:

They have 12 packs of quilted northern on sale for $6.49 – use the $4 coupon from Sundays Star Trib paper and the $.50 cent walgreens coupon from the october walgreens coupon book in stores for $1.99 – seems a good price to me for good tissue. There is a limit of 2.

  5. Janna C. says:

I had an interesting trip to Walgreens in Savage yesterday…NOTHING was labeled in the store with the sale price or with the Register Rewards. They also did not have the advertised toothbrush or the Robitussin. They evidently sold out out of the toothbrush and never got the Robitussin in stock. Has anyone else run across a similar situation this week?

  6. Jen says:

I went to two walgreens yesterday – neither had the Robitussin – they said they got the 10 ct. in but not the 2 ct. Said they may get this week on the next truck. They did have the toothbrushes. I went to one in Apple Valley (near the old Kowalskis) and the cashier told me you could only redeem one register reward at a time – I have never heard that before – he said his manager was really strict about it since it says it on the coupon – I didn’t see it any where on the RR but instead of fighting with him I just left and went to the Walgreens down the street in Apple Valley near the Target. They didn’t have a problem with using multiple RRs in a transaction and had everything in stock except the Robitussin.

  7. Beth says:

Were is the $4.00 coupon for the quilted northern Jen. I did not see one in my paper. At least no in the inserts. Did any one else see this coupon.

    Thanks
    Beth

  8. Jen says:

The quilted northern coupon was in the front section of the Star Trib- on the third to last page I think – It was a full page ad in the regular newspaper section for $4 of quilted northern or brawny paper towels.

Also on the Thera Flu – if you buy 3 at a time and use the $2 healthy savings coupon – get $8 RR – so 3 theraful at $12 – $6 coupons = $6 OOP and $8 RR register reward – best thing about this is these are non taxable items so $2 profit. The healthy savings coupon is only valid on the powder pouches and not the liquid Theraflu.

  9. Jen says:

Also – stopped by the new Walgreens in Savage (near Sonic) this AM since it is next to my bank and they had the 2 ct Robitussin in stock on one of the end caps – must have just got it in cause there was a ton of it.

I need to Roll my RR since I got so many yesterday with all the good items and they seem to expire so quick. So this AM I got some items I have been needing or will need shortly with some of the extra RR. I use Loreal eyeshawdow and these are on sale B1G1 – I got two eye quad shawdows on sale B1G1 for $6.99 – plus there were $2 off any loreal makeup in one of the recent inserts – 9-13-09 RP. You can use 2 of these coupons to get two items for $2.99 – great deal in my book if you use this brand regularly.

  10. Mary says:

Did anyone else not get a Walgreens ad? My St. Cloud Times and my Star Tribune didn’t have one.

  11. Tiff says:

The coupon Jen is referring to is actually $4 off Brawny when you buy 12pk of Northern.

  12. Jen says:

I used the coupon to buy just quilted northern at walgreens and got
$4 off and so did my mom. I can’t remember what it says now but it worked and I didn’t buy Brawny. Not sure?

  13. Cathie says:

The Pioneer Press did not have the coupon for $4 off Brawny when you buy 12pk of Northern. Only the STar Trib

  14. Janna C. says:

I revisited the Savage Walgreens (by Rainbow) today and they had all the sale items labeled. In addition they had the 2 ct. Robitussin in stock.

  15. Priscilla says:

I was able to get almost all of the great deals this week at my Forest Lake Walgreens! I did have to get a rain check on the Dentex Tooth Picks, and I bought the last 2 of the SF Halls Couch Drops.
I did see another deal while I was there, a new variety of Trident gum, buy 2 get $1RR, I bought four & paired it with a $1.00/3 coupon & received $2 RR’s.

  16. Jen says:

There is a $1/2 on Trident gum at tridentgum.com

  17. Sarah Beth says:

Thanks to the coupon that Karyn shared with us I went to Walgreens last night and spent $21.56 and got $21.50 in RR!!! My receipt couldn’t have been more perfect. It was $25.02 before tax, then the $5 coupon, down to $20.02. Then of course tax is added. I was thrilled!!! I came home and showed my husband all I got for 6 cents! I’m tempted to go to another Walgreens today and get more free stuff!

This week they have salt for 50cents and an 8ounce can of Hunts Tomato Sauce for 39cents. Seemed low to me. Anyone ever see better “rock bottom prices” for these two items? The Dawn soap in the ad is the small bottle. Was disappointed but still got one for 75cents with a coupon from Sunday’s PP.

  18. Val says:

The Brawny/Northern Bath tissue coupon says $4 off Brawny paper towels (6 big roll or 8 regular roll) when you buy quilted Northern Bath tissue (12 double roll). So, I think you are supposed to be buying both products, not one or the other. I try to adhere to whatever it says on the coupon, so if I use this one, I will purchase both items.
I had an interesting trip to Walgreens today. I went in with my $5 off $25 coupon and a few mfr coupons to use when I got my RR items. Wanted to get all my RR items and had a list of about 9 things. I found the Emergen-C stuff, the Herbal Essence shampoo, the Fusion Razor, the bags of Brach’s candy corn, Vaseline Sheer Infusion Lotion, the Hall’s Refresh hard candies. They were out of the Chapstick product, the Robitussin to-go 2 ct size and the Oral B 1-2-3 toothbrush. Said they might not get more in till Saturday. I might try to go back then. At my B Park Walgreens they were running a BOGO free on the Oral B Indicator toothbrushes ( store sale without a coupon) and I had a coupon for BOGO free for that kind. So I was able to get 2 free toothbrushes.
Even without some of my RR stuff I did ok. I spent $23 oop and got $21.50 back in RRs. I also bought some mascara that was on sale but no RRs on that.

  19. Brenda says:

I’m new to the RR game at Walgreen’s… what does “roll” your RR’s mean?
