If I purchase 2 Thermacare heat wraps in the same transaction, will I get 2 $2.49 Register Rewards (totaling $4.98)?? Or is it only 1? I know I can’t use one register reward to pay for another of the same item to get the rewards again, but I was curious if I could do it in one transaction??
Stephanie,
Usually the ad will say “limit one.” I don’t think you would be able to get two.
I did not have a walgreens ad in either of the papers I bought this AM!! I guess I will have to stop and get one on my way home-any one else have this problem?
Katy – I bought a paper yesterday at a gas station and did not have a Walgreens nor a Target ad. I’ve had it happen with store bought papers versus the one delivered to my house.
Thanks, Tiff!
I did the Sally Hansen RR yesterday. You get $5 your next Sally Hansen purchase when you buy 3.
I read somewhere else that the Sally Hansen $5 RR is only good on Sally Hansen products. They did say that you can roll it though.
I can’t find the Children’s Benadryl coupon in the Walgreens Healthy Savings Booklet. Can anyone else?
Do they let you use the coupon if the value of the coupon is more than the value of the item?
There is a $3.00 off 2 Tylenol cold from the paper, makes them .25 each.
You can print the ThermaCare coupon several times.
I did not have a Target ad or Walgreens ad in my home delivered Star Tribune. I did have both in my St. Cloud Times.
The Children’s Benadryl coupon is in the activity book from Walgreens. You can find it by the Pharmacy and is $.99.
I am trying to understand the register rewards and think I do, but had a disagreement with a Walgreens manager, here’s the scenario: I purchased True North crackers (used $1 coupon), 2 Neosporin (used both coupons), Murine Earl Wax Removal (no coupon), 2 trident gum (coupon), Advil (coupon), Keebler Fudge Stripes x 2 (2 coupons) and 3 boxes of Junior Mints (3/$3 – I put these in the freezer and they are yummy).
Ok, there is a method to my madness: I received the True North $3 RR’s, the Neosporin $3 rr’s, Advil $2 rr’s and the Trident $1rr’s, but not the $6 rr’s for the Murine. I went back yesterday with my receipt and the ad..the manager said because I used a $1 rr from the previous week I couldn’t get the $6 rr’s.
If this was true..I wouldn’t have received any rr’s!? I am going to fax my receipt to Walgreens corporate customer service and if I am correct encourage them to “train” their managers on how rr’s work! I’ve not had great experiences at Walgreens…I love the deals, but their customer service is not good.
Most, if not all, Sally Hansen products are on sale this week 40% off so the Hard as Nails polish is $1.36 before coupons! My daughter loves to have her nails done, so this is a great deal even without coupons.
you can roll the Sally Hansen $5 oyno into another Sally Hansen transaction and it will print another $5 Hope that helps someone else.
I believe the policy at walgreens is that a new register reward for a product (for example Crest – Procter & Gamble) will not print a new register reward for another product of the same company (for example Pantene products – Procter & Gamble). The register reward shows the companies name in small print usually on the bottom below the amount of coupon or above the UPC barcode. The key is to know the exact product brand you received the register reward from and then turn around and use that coupon on another companies product. Then you will receive your new register reward. I hope this helps.
Ahh…now I understand. It would have been great if teh Walgeens manager had explained it as you just did.
I’ll pay closer attention to thesmall print.
Thank you!!
Why can’t you print all of the “smartsource” and “redplum” coupons on the websites? It gives me very little choices on those sites.
FYI for those with issues of RR’s not printing…I just spoke with a Wags customer relations rep, 800-289-2273, who was very nice and patient in explaining possible problems. They do know that store employees may not know what to do and even admitted the “manager on duty” may not know. She said first you need to find the actual main store manager who will know, second if there is still an issue it could be the Catalina machine and software (that prints the coupons). Other than the marketing deal Wags has with Catalina, the stores have no interaction with, or information about that company and their practices. You can call Catalina at 888-322-3814 to explain the situation. They will need the receipt, but if you have met all the requirements, they will send you a check.
Got back from Walgreens tonight. They were out of the Thermacare wraps, most of the Aussie products, the Roots of Nature products, and most of the children’s Benedryl. Plus the cashier wouldn’t let me use the BOGO Reese’s coupons because the cups and the pumpkins differ by .2 ounces!
Oh boy, just when I think I have Walgreens figured out I learn something new. All this time I thought if you had the same number of MQs and register rewards as you have items, and the register rewards aren’t for the same items you’re buying, everything should go smooth. Not so, today I learned that if you have a coupon like $1 off 2 items, it counts as 2 coupons. Okay, so maybe now if I can remember everything, I’ll actually have a smooth transaction. I’m still saving tons of money at Wags, so I’m determined to tough it out until I get it.
Also, I don’t know if its true for all Walgreens, but the 2 I frequent get trucks in on Wednesday and Thursday, so I’ve had really good luck going Wednesday afternoon and them having everything in stock.
I was wondering if all Walgreens charge full price on tax before the coupon? I went yestrday to get one of the airwick sprayers for .99 cents after coupon and my bill was 1.47. at other stores I shop the tax goes down to the dollar I end up spending. thanks Pam
Joanna ~ maybe that is what happened to me last night!!! I swear I gave her 3 RRs but only 2 showed on my receipt. I had used the OralB B1G1 coupon and so I wonder if this counted as 2? But then it should have beeped when she tried to use the last RR saying that I was out of coupons. Don’t think it did and now the coupon is in the drawer and it was my word against hers. The manager decided to take $1 off one of my items instead of opening the drawer.
Preslee ~ maybe that is what happened with my B1G1 OralB. I got the RR for the Thermal Care just fine but it did not print the RR for the OralB. I thought maybe it was because I used a B1G1 coupon so the RR wouldn’t print??? But maybe ThermalCare and OralB are owned by the same company?
Anyone else have this problem with the OralB not printing a RR if you use the B1G1 Q?
Anyone try to do OralB and ThermaCare in the same transaction?
Carrie,
I shopped two different Walgreens yesterday…1st did the Aussie, thermacare and oralb, plus some clearance items from toys, grape jelly and 3/$3 Junior Mints. I used one Frito Lay $3 RR. I only received a $2 RR and a $2.50rr. I searched the junior mints box and the grape jelly to make sure they were not Frito Lay…
The to Rainbow and a different Walgreens. Aussie, thermacare and oral b…received 2/$2 rr’s and one $2.50 rr.
It’s starting to be almost impossible to use the RR’s in a coupon transaction. I’m also not at all impressed with Walgreens managers…they could use some intensive customer service training.
Sorry…I’m just looking for some guidance.
My local Target has the Airwick I motion on sale for $5.99. Using the $6.00 coupon made it free!!!!
I believe that if you use a buy one get one manufacture coupon that counts for two items. The register reward, from my understanding of how it works, should have printed.
Also, all products have their parent companies name in small print. You can usually find it somewhere on the back of the product. Thermacare is owned by Wyeth Consumer Healtcare. Frito Lay is owned by PepsiCo. Aussie is owned by P&G. Oral-B is P@G.
Penny – you received a 2 and 2.50 rr. from my understanding, you received one 2 from Aussie (P&G) and one 2.50 Thermacare (Wyeth). I believe you didn’t get two 2 rr from oral-b and aussie becuase they are both proctor and gamble. I had this happen to me once. they key is – do separate transactions for products that are from the same parent company – then you will receive each rr.
I have always had to pay tax for the subtotal amount – before coupons.
Also, I always try to go walgreens on the actual truck day, but at the end of the night (then they have all the merchandise out). or I go first thing sunday morning.. before they run out of rr items.
Has anyone in the Twin Cities found the EPT tests on clearance? I found the 2 pk for reg price of $13.99 in the store.
