Target Shopping List 9/13 – 9/19/09

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

target

These are the best deals I see this week at Target.  Marcy at Stretching a Buck helped put together the weekly deals.

Some readers have had issues with Target accepting both a Target-issued coupon and a manufacturer-issued coupon on the same product, while others have had issues with $1 off coupons used on trial-sized items that are priced less than $1. If that’s you, print out and bring Target’s official coupon policy with you on your shopping trip. As always, remain polite, share what you know and consider emailing or calling Target’s corporate office to let them know of your experience – whether good or bad.

Comments

  1. Jessica says:

$4.97 for the Swiffer Wetjet refill

  2. Angela says:

For the Swiffer deal you could also submit a buy $20 get $10 mail in rebate but you will have to make the purchase by 9/15. I do not remember what insert the form was in though.

  3. Sarah says:

Target has posted a disclaimer that the diaper offer for a free gift card was a mis-print. Once they post a disclaimer, they do not have to honor the ad. Just a heads-up to anyone thinking about going in to get those! :)

  4. Katy says:

There is also a $1 q for the scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaning gel in the 8/23 SS

  5. Ruth says:

I was just at target and saw the signs in the store for diapers with a $5 gift card. Huh, I wonder if they will pull all those down.

  6. SarahBB says:

My fave Target deal was Softsoap Pump Ensemble hand soap plus refill–on sale–$4.99 for pump–use Target coupon $3.50 in this week’s insert (?) combine w/Soft soap Ensemble $3.00 off coupon from an August insert (not sure which one?). I bought 2 sets of pumps and refills and paid $1.62 for all 4 items. Yeah!!

  7. Jennifer M. says:

RP has a $3 coupon this week for Purina One Dog or Cat Food. Stack with Target printable $2 (http://www.organicgrocerydeals.com/forums/view.php?pg=coupon_generator) and the cat food will be $.99 for a 3.5 lb. bag and the dog food will be $4.49 for an 8 lb. bag.

  8. Kae says:
  9. Kelly says:

I am wondering about the Tag reading system. The only one that I can find is the 49.99 one. Can you tell me specifically what I am looking for. I would imagine that most stores are out. But still hoping.

  10. Katy says:

Hmmm. The Target Eggo coupon appears to be for pancakes–? But the mfr coupon seems like it would work for any frozen product. Need to check if the pancakes are on sale (don’t have flyer with me).

  11. Troy says:

I was able to get an 8ct box of pop-tarts for free. I used the $0.75 Target coupon from organicgrocerydeals.com, plus a $1.00 coupon from the 9/13 paper (not sure which insert it was). Pop-Tarts were on sale for $1.52.

  12. Hilary says:

i bought 5 boxes of kashi cereal for $1.
i price matched walgreens ad for 2.50 a box and added two 1.50 off one box printed, one 1.50 off two boxes printed last month and $2 off one box (from free sample mailer).

I paid $6 and got a $5 gift card. definetly the deal of the week for me.

    i can’t believe people pay full price(3.49 a box)

  13. Angie says:

Jennifer M, what is “RP” with the $3 off Purina coupon?

  14. Jennifer M. says:

Angie – RP = Red Plum coupon insert in the Sunday paper.

  15. Anita says:

I am conflicted. I need cereal like I need a hole in my head but it is killing me to pass this up. BUT I will have the willpower, but only because I have about 25 boxes of cereal that I pretty much paid less than $0.50 for each box. hehe

Wanted to say thanks for the keebler q’s. I accidently tossed the packages before removing the UPC’s for the Kelloggs rebate. Now I have to buy 2 more. These are much better q’s than the $1/2. Now I am thinking I should wait for next weds to double???? Price check anyone Keebler cookies at Rainbow?

  16. Michelle says:

Thanks for the price-matching tip Hilary!! I just got the 5 boxes of Honey Sunshine for free (after all the 1.5/1 coupons from Vocalpoint and Kashi’s website and the $5 gift card from Target). What a sweet deal! It ended up being a bit of a headache though, because the cashier didn’t really know what she was doing and I didn’t get the gift card at first. But after going to guest services and getting it straightened out, it was definitely worth it! Just a heads up for all who have yet to try price-matching at Target, apparently you can only do transactions involving price-matches AT guest services…

  17. erica says:

when i print the target web coupon i was denied using them at the target burnsville she said they would not scan so i could not use them bummer

  18. Michelle says:

Erica- I’ve also had web coupons not scan, but the cashier has ALWAYS punched the numbers in or just did a manual “dollars off” store coupon. Sounds like someone at Burnsville Target is just being lazy.

  19. Jennifer says:

My total at Target yesterday before coupons was $136.03 and after coupons and 2 $5 gift cards from the Kashi promotion it was $8.95. I saved 94%!!!!
    This is what I bought…….
    1. 2 scrubbing bubbles toilet gel cleaners for $3.49 and $1.00 off manufacturer coupon
    2. 2 freshmatic bathroom cleaner starter kits for $6.29 and used free manufacturer coupon when you buy scrubbing bubbles product
    3. 7 Glade tin candles for $1.66 and $1.50 coupon off each and in each tin there is another $1.50 coupon for a total off on future purchases off of $10.50.
    4. 2 Chef Michaels Dog Food for $4.26 and 1 Target coupon for $1.50 and 1 manufacturer coupon for $2.50
    5. 5 Cutter products for $1.18 each (on clearance) and 5 coupons for $2.00 off each
    6. 7 Soft Soap Nutri Serum Body Washes and 7 coupons for $1.00 off Target coupon and $.75-$1.00 off Manufacturers coupon
    7. 7 Soft Soap Ensembles Soaps. Bought 7 starter sets and 7 refills. Used $3 manufacturer coupon and$3.50 Target coupon.
This is very easy to do. If you are looking for the manufacturer coupons that I used an easy way to look them up is by using the website couponmom.com. You can search the coupon database depending on the state you live in. Then, type in the coupon you are looking for and it will show you what insert it was in…………
    Have fun saving money!

  20. Angela says:

Wow! I haven’t done all the math yet, but am estimating that I saved around 70% at Target for all of my normal groceries and a toaster since ours just died. If you are looking for bell peppers, head to the Roseville SuperTarget for a pack of stoplight peppers (1 each of red, yellow, and green) for $2.99 (regular price $4.99). They got an overshipment and have tons of them. This is the brand we always buy and are great quality.

  21. Jane says:

Hi Carrie, (in case you need a bit more detail on the Target acceptance of expired coupons):

Just stopped by and got some great Target deals. Best one yet was that the cashier told me that as of Monday Sept 14th Target accepts expired coupons AND she allowed me to switch out my update coupons with the more-money-off coupons which were expired – on the spot :) yeah.

So, I spoke with the store manager at the Customer Service desk which informed me that the expired coupons should be within a reasonable timeframe. When asked what that meant to her (in comparing w. Cub up to 60 day old coupons) she said certainly 30 and likely up to 60 days expired would work. She stated that Target corporate is the one who is controlling the programming of the registers to reflect the register notification on the screens when the expired coupons are presented.

SO, based off of what she said that reasonable timeframe that may vary from Target to Target location because the coding on the screens for expired coupons will need to be over-riden by the cashier…

Hope that helps :) Sure made my day!

  22. Jane says:

oh: also this Target manager told me that they were instructed to not even check expiration dates except when a message that needs to be over riden appears on the register :)

  23. Kate says:

    there’s a $1 coupon for method products at http://www.methodhome.com/
    :)

  24. Kelli Smith says:

Can you guys help me know which Target coupon you are referring to when you say there is an $3.50 Softsoap Refill target coupon? I have the manufactuer’s coupon for $3 but don’t know where to find the $3.50 Softsoap Target Coupon.

  25. LIsa says:

    HI Carrie,

Is there a problem with the coupon printer? I have installed it, but it keeps bringing me to install coupon printer now. I should only have to do that once, right?

    Lisa
