Buy Peachtree Pro Accounting 2010 from Staples.com and get it free after mail-in rebate. You have until end of day September 14 to buy the software. This old-fashioned rebate form and the original packing slip have to be postmarked by October 14 to be eligible.
Here’s an added bonus. If you choose to ship the software to a local Staples store and pick it up, then shipping is free too.
Your turn: Is Peachtree a decent program for a small business or should folks stick with Quickbooks the Accounting For Dummies program?

Has anyone used this? I have used Quickbooks for FOREVER, but always like to try out new programs. I guess for free there is no risk!
I haven’t use this programm but I order it yesterday and it was also free shipping. I have been using quickbooks too but between my husbands’s small business and mine I figured it’s time to try something new. We will see, it only cost the price of tax, so $11 isn’t bad for a accounting package.
I use Peachtree for all our company’s accounting, and I think it is an excellent, user friendly program. I work for a commercial real estate development company – we develop retail shopping centers, restaurants, and other large scale projects. This is a fantastic program, and I highly recommend it.
I was going to order this tonight (nothing like waiting until the last minute) but noticed that the price is $199.99 making it $35 after the rebate. Did they increase the price of the product recently? I was expecting the rebate to cover the full retail price.
Kristine – I have seen that happen when a retailer realizes that they are essentially giving software away free that they increase the price and/ro decrease the rebate. Sorry you missed it.
I bought the Peachtree Pro-Accounting 2010 at Staples but can’t find the UPC code which is not printed on the outside box. One of the rebate requirements is to submit the original UPC code. What should I do or should I send in the empty box to Peachtree for proof of purchase, in addition to the rebate receipt and redemption form?
