Looks like a great week to stock up things at Rainbow and to consider buying your groceries in more than one transaction. Please, though, be considerate to those around you and only do two at a time before you go back to your car to drop a load and re-enter the store.
Start here if you are new to this and have questions about how to get your coupons to double in value at Rainbow. Learn to read this shopping list here.

Buy 8 General Mills cereals, get $10 off your current order and 2 coupons for $3.50 a future order that contains milk
Last time they ran this deal I decided I could do it for infinity even without any coupons, because it is such a good deal considering the $17 in incentives you get for buying 8 boxes. If you bought boxes priced right around $2 you’d get them all free, without coupons. In fact, it was this deal that caused Rainbow to owe me 42 cents one week.
There are so many General Mills coupons out right now that I won’t list each individual one, but tell you to check these sites:

Buy $20 in select paper products, Get $5 off your shopping order with the in-ad manufacturer’s coupon
Listen up: This $5 off coupon says at the top “Manufacturer’s coupon” which means that I don’t think you can stack it with any other manufacturer’s coupons for qualifying products, like the $1 off Quilted Northern coupon for instance. Personally, I think you’d be better off using individual coupons for the products.

Vanity Fair Napkins: $.35/1 from 6/28 Red Plum
Quilted Northern: $1/1 from 7/26 Red Plum

I go to the Rainbow on Highway 55 in Plymouth and last night had a very nice cashier. She too thought the doubling was after the sale price, which was showing at $16. She tried the first coupon and it doubled. I agree with Carrie and would ask the cashier to try even if they don’t believe it will work. My cashier last night said all registers are corporate owned and will respond the same way.
I had two transactions last night and the lady had no problem with it. I’ve had frustrating trips but also good ones, it all depends on your cashier’s attitude. Don’t be discouraged until you start getting the same response on multiple trips.
I had the split coupons for the Cornish Hens and it worked without a problem. She did however have to override my Taco Bell dinner because I didn’t select the right one. I hoping that cashier works next Weds!
I went to Rainbow last night and did 5 seperate transactions (they were not happy but did not tell me I could not do it) This is what I bought
24 boxes of cereal
6 Arm and Hammer
6 game hens
3 – 4 packs of yogurt
6 gallons of milk
3 taco seasoning
1 bottle of A1
I had 5 – $1.00 off coupons per transaction plus the milk coupons
My total before coupons was $153.93 and my out of pocket cost was $27.59 so I saved $126.34!!!! Thanks Carrie!!!
Just as I finished I heard that you will be on the Kevyn Burger show which is how I heard avout your website!!!!!!!!
While I was checking out at the Brooklyn Park Rainbow yesterday a fellow couponer was behind me, and she made a comment about the Vocal Point coupon we received for free Rice Krispies (which I was using). I wondered as I walked out of the store if that was someone who follows this site…
I had a GREAT trip to Rainbow yesterday. I have a bunch of “filler” coupons for free items that I have so I was able to use some of them to get to $25. I know that you only need to get to $25 regular price, but it is way easier for me to figure my trip in advance if I just focus on getting the register to get to $25.
I was able to save over 75% on my trip! Check out how I did on my blog post here:

The store I shopped at was in Shoreview.
I e-mailed corporate about not being able to do multiple transactions and this was the response that I got:
“We do allow customer to have two transactions at one time in the lane. We understand that many of our customer are shopping for other people at the same time they are shopping for their family. I have talked to everyone involved, please except our apology.”
I had did 3 transactions in a row (no one was behind me as it was almost closing time)…maybe that was what the cashier was referring to, but when I tried to clarify he said it was multiple transactions that were no longer being allowed. Oh well!
I’m glad multiple transactions are still allowed!
