Additionally, stop into the pharmacy and ask for a ReadyFill coupon book for more great offers. Use those alongside this week’s sales and you’ll likely make money at CVS this week. If your store is out of the hottest deals be sure to request a rain check so you can pick them up next week.

If you’re new to CVS, read this to get started and this to understand this shopping list and understand the abbreviations used. Thanks to The Thrifty Mama for her help in compiling this week’s deals.

I can’t find the Barilla pasta coupon? I get the pioneer press..same for you or do you get the star trib?

  5. Sarah

I learned the hard way to always have a backup plan – CVS was cleaned out extra early this morning. One on Central in NE is out of composition books, Glade Lasting Impressions, Glad Warmers. They only have a few of the Carefree packages and the Glade Sense and Sprays.

the star tribune has more coupons then the pioneer press. i opt for the trib now so i dont miss out.

The Plymouth CVS wouldn’t let me use the
Buy 2 Olay Definity Cream Cleansers at $10.99 each for the $12 ECB deal.
They said it had to be the more expensive cleansers ($24).
Did anyone else try this deal?

Sarah – I totally agree with you on having a backup plan at CVS! I am a total organization freak and love to have my shopping lists exactly written before I go and figure out how ot best utilize my Extra Care Bucks. I’ve learned though that it’s almost impossible to do lately with all of the out of stock items. I’ve gotten really good at figuring everything in the store. I add everything up on my iPhone calculator as I go, then right before I’m ready to check out I subtract all of my coupons, and then count up my ECB’s to use.

Here’s how I did this week:
    http://abbyscents.blogspot.com/2009/08/week-of-0823-cvs-1.html

I think I’m going to go to a different CVS today and see if I can’t find some of those school supplies I have rainchecks for. I don’t think my CVS carries all of the products I’m looking for.

Does anyone know if I can use these/this coupon on Aveeno baby wash? I don’t use the positively ageless line……

  12. Abby

If you haven’t signed up for e-mails from CVS, go to their website and sign up. I get lots of coupons from them via e-mail, including $5 off $25, product coupons, and yesterday I received a coupon for a free item!

So make sure to sign up!
