I owe a huge thank you to Shannon Slatton, of Channel 12, for bringing this project to life. She did a story about my blog a few months back, started saving money herself and then approached the station about this on-going segment series as a way to help the community during these tough economic times. She has great ideas, and lots of them – which is making this fun for me.
