I got everything pictured below absolutely free this week. It is $43.13 of groceries totally free. Keep reading Pocket Your Dollars and I’ll teach you how to do the same.

How did I do it? First, I shopped at Rainbow on Wednesday, when they double the value of coupons. I did three separate transactions (I put two in my cart at one time, paid. Then dropped them at the car and went back in for my third). Here are the specific details for the things you see:
Wheat Thins. Used (3) “Buy Ritz, Get Wheat Thins Free” coupons from the newspaper.
Milk. Used (2) “Get 1 gallon of milk free” I earned last week when I bought xx number of General Mills Cereal
Bush’s Baked Beans. Used (2) $1 off 2 cans coupons from the newspaper that were doubled in value. I love it when $1/2 coupons can be matched with items on sale for $1. Then I can get two free items with just one coupon and use my other 4 coupons for something else.
Eggo Bake Shop products. Used (3) printable coupons from here and here.
Dial Hand Soap. Used (2) coupons from the newspaper that were doubled in value.
1 lb of hamburgers. Earned “Get 1 pound of hamburger free” coupon when I bought select products. I bought the select products on my first transaction and used the coupon on a subsequent that same night.
Hamburger buns. Ditto the hamburgers.
Toddler wipes. These are actually from Babies R Us. My infant needed some new bottles so I stopped to get them and picked up the Wateroos drink boxes I talk about here. I needed $1 more in products to reach $25 so I could use this $5 off $25 purchase. I grabbed this wipes for my soon-to-be-potty-training toddler for $2 something and then got $5 off. So, I am counting them as free.
I did actually pay for some other things and in total spent $40 for $122 in groceries for a savings of 67%. It wasn’t my best week ever, but I needed coffee and didn’t have a coupon *gasp* although it was on sale and part of a “buy xx number of select products, get xx other thing free” deal. I also stocked up on crackers, getting 10 boxes in total, which should last us a few months.
Your turn: What was your favorite find or bargain from this week’s shopping?

I’d like to get your emails about coupon savings. Thanks
Interested in learning to do this. I’m really green and need help
