This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Update: Cashbaq has modified this offer so the books aren’t free any longer.

Seriously?  A 2009 Entertainment book totally free?  Yep, seriously.  You need to order one here before July 31, 2009 and it’ll be free after an automatically processed rebate.

To get this deal, register for or login to Cashbaq.  Find the 2009 Entertainment book and buy it.  That will redirect you to the Entertainment website, but you’ve gotten there through CashbaqBuy the book, pay the $7.99 and $1.99 shipping (no coupon code required for that price).  When you make the purchase your Casbaq account will be credited with an $8 rebate and, if you’re new to Cashbaq, you’ll get a $5 sign up bonus rebate.  Ask Cashbaq to mail your rebate check or deposit it in a Paypal account.  Voila! You’ll have been paid to buy a coupon book.

What’s Cashbaq you wonder?   You shop online at your favorite sites using Cashbaq as a portal.  You’ll earn a rebate for each purchase you make.  When you’ve earned $10 in rebates, including the $5 sign up bonus, they’ll either mail you a check or make a deposit into a Paypal account.  Register, get your bonus, buy the book and get $8 more and you’ll immediately qualify for a $13 payout.  Read all their frequently asked questions here.

Your turn: In your opinion, which coupon or deal from the Entertainment book is the best?  For my family, we LOVE the buy one, get one free at America’s Harvest restaurant where the Sunday buffet is a staggering $25+ per person, but fabulous.  With the coupon it’s like paying $12.50 per person for a top-of-the-line buffet and its worth that price.  Which one do you love?

Does this rebate show up automatically? I ordered mine a half hour ago following your links and I do not see the rebate posted to my account. Thanks.

This is great! Candice, I was wondering the same thing so I read the fine print and it says it can take as long as 45 days for the credit to show up – they wait for confirmation from the vender. I think I’ll be using this site a lot!

  3. I just ordered one – I love the Happenings book but didn’t feel like shelling out the money for it this year. Thanks, Carrie!

Thanks for this tip!! I was looking at joining and wanted to see if you had a referral link before I signed up so you could get credit! I’ll wait and see if you post it. Every bit helps right???

This site looks similar to ebates (which I love). Here is the link to that for those that might want to sign up:

Looks like the deal is over. This message is on their website now:

*Entertainment Book has chosen to discontinue the $7.99 per book offer through Cashbaq. We are working on getting another offer. In the meantime, in order to maintain a high level of value for Cashbaq members, we are increasing the cash back to $10 through the end of the month (or as long as we can). Going forward, books purchased using any other promotion other than the Free 2009 book will not be eligible for a rebate. Using discounts not listed here will make your order ineligible for cash back.

I’ve found the best way to use my Happenings book is to go through it up front and identify the 10-15 coupons that I really really want and that I think I would use more than one of if I had it. Then I go out to Craigslist and post on the Barter page for the coupons I’m looking for. It’s worked really really well the past two years. For the price of a stamp I can exchange coupons I know I won’t use for ones I will.
