Carrie’s Picks: Coupon Inserts 7/19/09

 coupons

There was one insert in today’s paper, a Smart Source.  Here are my picks of which of those coupons will likely result in something free or nearly free.  The coupons are grouped into three categories, based on when I think they could result in a rock bottom price or a freebie.  I also mention the eating out/recreation coupons that were in the Twin Cities’ inserts.

Everyday, Regular Priced Items

Buy the following products with a coupon from this weekend’s paper at their everyday price and you’ll get a great deal or maybe even a freebie.

Wacky Mac.  Buy one, get one free.

Dannon Yogurt Cups.  10 cents off per cup (must buy 10) is the highest value I ever see off for yogurt cups

Infusium23.  Coupon does not exclude trial size and is $2 offs.  Can you find this brand in the travel size section at Target or Walmart?

Kotex.  Use the $1/1 Kotex pads to get pantiliners free most anywhere.  The 20-32 count packages are usually priced right around $1.  Even the $.75/1 would be a good deal too.

Renuzit.  Buy 2, get 1 free.

White Cloud.  This brand is sold at Walmart.  Any chance there is a 4-pack of White Cloud toilet tissue in the Dollar Aisle at Super Walmart??

Sale Priced Items

If these products go on sale before the coupon expires you will get a rock bottom price or maybe even a freebie.

Colgate Sensitive.  $1.00 off toothpaste usually results in free toothpaste.

Huggies Flushable Wipes.  If these go on sale for $1.50 each, then they’ll be free after this coupon.  Maybe the regular price for a small package is $1.50 or less at Target or Walmart??

Coupons Doubled in Value

If you can shop at a store where the value of your coupon is doubled and these products go on sale before the coupon expires, then you will get a rock bottom price or maybe even some freebies.  In the Twin Cities Rainbow Foods is the only store I know of that regularly doubles coupons.  Check out their coupon policies here.

Frusion Smoothies.

Rhodes Warm N serve Rolls.  These don’t expire until October which makes it very likely they’ll go on sale again for $2/package like they did last month.

Charmin.  In the USA Weekend magazine insert there was a $.25 off any 4-pack of Charmin Ultra Strong or Ultra Soft.

Eating Out/Recreation

Quiznos.  Lots of coupons including a free Toasty Torpedo when you buy a Toasty Torpedo combo meal.

Ruby Tuesday.  I got 2 buy one entree, get one free in my Sunday paper.  They are not within the Smart Source insert, but separate flyers.

If you are inclined to pick up a second copy of this weekend’s insert consider checking with local coffee shops, libraries or restaurants and ask if you can have theirs or get one for $1 at most Dollar Tree stores (locations here).

Your turn: Do you know the price or availability for any of the products I questioned (Infusion23, White Cloud and Huggies flushable wipes in particular)?

  1. Jennifer says:

The huggies flushable wipes are $1.67 at Wal-mart. Even if they aren’t on sale, they are a good deal!

  2. Tanya says:

Where are the dollar aisles usually at Wal Mart?

  3. Shelly says:

With all the savings on groceries, my husband and I have started to go out on some dates!!
Last evening, we used the 2/1 Ruby Tuesday’s coupon. We up graded the ribs to a full rack (19.99) and they have discounts on specific bottles of wine for $10.00 each. So for $32 (tax included) + generous tip we had a fantastic meal. The wine that is not drank will be corked and you are allowed to take it home. It had been 21 years since we visited Ruby Tuesday’s somewhere in TN, what fun it was recalling that vacation!!!
