Call for Guest Writers

rio

It is just a few more days until my Brazilian in-laws arrive in full force and I am officially on staycation.  I have some great content lined up for you during their 10-day stay, but I am wondering if you would like to contribute an article?  Other bloggers are welcome, but you don’t have to have a blog.  The kinds of things I’d love to hear about include your personal story about saving money, loyalty programs or other offers your family has found valuable, cook ahead recipes and other frugal kitchen strategies, and just about anything else that helps people pocket more of their money.  If you are interested, please leave a comment on this post or email me here.

What’s the picture?  A beach in Rio de Janeiro, my husband’s hometown and the city where his entire family still lives.  Yep, it is as beautiful as it looks.

I am passionate about helping people keep their money where it belongs - in their pocket. I live in Minneapolis, MN with my husband and two little girls.

As beautiful as Minnesota is, I’m thinking our beaches aren’t going to impress the Rio de Janeiro crowd! Enjoy your time with your family!

I would love to contribute healthy, frugal recipes you can make in bulk and freeze. Let me know if you need something. i don’t have a blog- I’ve always wanted one but worry it may be one more item on the neverending list of things that need to get done.

I could contribute a list of ways that our family saved big $$ at Disney World last summer & how we save on all of our vacations. Our family of 5 spent just over $5,000 on a 10 day Disney trip. And are in the midst of planning a 9 day/$4,000 springbreak trip to (baseball) Spring Training & cruise.

OK Brandy, I’ve got to hear about the Spring Training trip. Discounted travel is something that I’m very interested in. It seems like there are so many different travel websites out there, where do you start? I’d love to see what you’ve got planned…Go Twins!

Carrie, I don’t think I have much to contribute as I am relatively new to this, however I wanted to say the picture of Rio is beautiful. I could see myself planted on that beach in the middle of winter! :) Enjoy your time with your in-laws!

Nicole, our plans have changed. We are now going to Disney World instead of the cruise (due to a miscalculation of the cost). If you are interested, check out Sun Country’s flight prices. We got plane tickets to Orlando (during our spring break) for $260pp. Fort Myers prices were similair.
