After a string of calls to numerous Twin Cities’ Kmart stores I have confirmed that local stores are NOT doubling coupons this week. Yes, I did receive an email from Kmart’s corporate office to the contrary and so did other Pocket Your Dollars readers. However, it has been confirmed that the local stores don’t know anything about it and that their registers are not doubling coupons.
Like you, I am disappointed with the confusion and mix-up between Kmart corporate and local stores. I communicated with you accurately, as I understood it, but I was given faulty information. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused. I wonder when Super Doubles might come to Minnesota again and whether we’ll be thrilled to have it or not, huh?

I was very disappointed this morning & Kmart has already heard from me. Interestingly enough I forwarded them the email that they had sent me indicating ALL Minnesota stores were participating & they replied that it was only 3 stores up north. Wish I would have known that before I spent time prepping coupons! I think it might take some pretty sweet deals to get me back into their stores. Thank goodness that CVS was close to Kmart, that sort of made up for it!
I called Burnsville Kmart yesterday and was informed that YES in fact, they were doubling coupons – no limit on the # of coupons you could use. My girlfriend also called and was told the same thing. After spending some time today getting ready for a big trip I called Kmart to ask about something else and just confirm once more that were doubling and was told NO they are not doubling coupons!! How frusterating. That store really needs to get their info straight!
