Charmin for $.23 per roll at Byerly’s and Lunds

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

I never want to pay more than $.25 per roll for a double roll of toilet paper.  This week I could pick some up at Byerly’s or Lunds for less than that price.  Use this coupon, plus the $.25/1 from the 6/7 P&G insert to get a 12-pack of Charmin for $2.74 when you spend another $10 at Byerly’s or Lunds.  Store coupon expires this Wednesday, June 10, 2009.

Last time I posted about a deal at Bylery’s and Lunds folks were surprised I would even mention those stores on a website about getting great deals.  True, that they are not my everyday go-to store because their prices are higher than others, but I do shop there occasionally for a couple of specific things – baked goods, more-difficult-to-find produce items (my husband is Brazilian and I lived in Peru for a year so sometimes we crave real tropical fruit and theirs is better than most), but most often we will stop into their deli.  Instead of eating out we sometimes each pick a meal from their deli (and they have daily specials, so a full meal can be around $6) and eat right in the eating area they provide.  Those deli meals count toward the $10 purchase necessary to get this great toilet paper deal, so we pick these kinds of things up then.

Your turn: Is this toilet paper deal worth it to you frugal readers?  If so, what will you buy to reach the necessary $10 threshold?$.23

While you are at Byerly’s drop off 3 of your kitchen knives at the butcher counter to get professionally sharpened for free! At the Byerly’s near me they have a container with little cardboard sleeves on the meat counter to put your knives in. It is a great service that many are unaware of. I am not certain if all Lunds and Byerly’s do this or not so check if yours does!

Shalome – I forgot about that, but have done that before. The one in Maple Grove does it too and I would suspect they all do. Thanks for sharing! –Carrie

They have a few good BOGO deals this week. I’m going to get the Bertolli meals and use 2 of the 1.50/1 coupons I printed out awhile back. That should get me 2 meals for a little over $5 after coupons.

I went and got two Bertolli meals, one Bagel-Fulls and a pack of Charmin for $10.24. I was pretty excited about it to take care of two meals this week! Thanks for sharing this.

I just went to Byerly’s and they are having a deal where if you buyfour boxes of Kelloggs cereal for $9 (limited to four kinds) you got a gallon of milk free. That would have paid for the $10 purchase before tax and discounts. But to make it more fun, use your $1 off coupons from Sunday’s paper…. I had bought two papers on Sunday, and had 4 $1.00 off coupons.

(But I failed to print this coupon for the charmin! Can you believe it?!)

Does Byerly’s accept online coupons? If so, I might go back tomorrow and do this again!

Carrie, could you write more about only paying $0.25/double roll of toilet paper? I thought I was doing good at $0.18-0.22/single roll, but obviously not. At what stores and what brands do you find you can get for that price? Thanks!
