Keep your eyes open in the cereal aisle for specially marked boxes of General Mills cereal. I have seen boxes of Total with a $1/1 coupon for Craisins. Recently I have also seen Fruity Cheerios boxes with 4 separate $1 off coupons: $1/1 Bisquick, $1/1 Fiber One Muffin Mix, $1/1 Betty Crocker muffin mix, and $1/2 Bisquick Shake ‘n Pour. When I have checked the expiration dates on these it seems they’re good through late this summer or into 2010. That means I will definitely be able to match these with rock bottom sale prices at some point. Yay! I hope to get Craisins, Bisquick, Fiber One Muffins, and Betty Crocker Muffins FREE, at some point, using these coupons.
Also be on the lookout for peel-off coupons (“peelies”) right on the packages of the following as well:
- Dannon Yogurt multi-packs: I always check these yogurts when I shop at Rainbow on Wednesdays. Often they have $1/1 coupons right on the box so I pick up a multi-pack for FREE or $.60 after coupon. (I often share this tip with the other folks that are standing at the dairy case looking at expensive,m full price yogurt while I am walking away with multi-packs for FREE.)
- Muir Glen Organic Diced Tomatoes: I frequently see $1/1 coupons right on these cans at my Rainbow Foods. They are regularly priced $1.95, which makes them FREE after the coupon value is doubled on Wednesdays.
- Cascadian Farms Organic Cereal:I have noticed $1/1 peelies on these recently. Their regular price is quite expensive ($4.50/box) and they don’t go on sale too often, so if your family insists on this cereal you’ll want to keep your eyes open. I have also seen my Rainbow reduce these to $2.00 as an unadvertised special when they are trying to create more shelf space; I almost missed it though, because the price reduced cereal was on the lowest shelves in the organic cereal section.
